Plus most of what we vape goes up in the clouds of vapor you guys love!
I check my sugar a lot and I vape mostly in the evening while on here..low nic but lots of p.g...no change in levels. Thank goodness! I would be SOL...or is tha SOOL? Anyway I would be sunk.

Whew, glad to hear there is no change in your levels. I have a problem with that stuff sometimes but it's not regulated by anything (yet)

Well I've packed on 18lbs that I can NOT get off. I run 3 miles a day, eat low carb and work out 4 x a week. My trainer is pulling his hair out, he's convinced I'm up all night eating Snickers! I know that PG and VG are considered alcohols but they are sugar alcohols. Do these liquids have a lot more carbs then we think? Do they raise our blood sugar levels? I'm just really frustrated here, need to vent.

Sorry, can't blame the PG or VG, either. Google them, check it out, but I for sure know the VG states does not interfere with blood sugar levels.
That's what I was going to blame my six packs on, no good. Too many carbs. My husband, who by the way has his own issues with Dunlops, told me it wasn't a Six Pack, it was a whole case!
Too much Forum sitting. Muscles do over take fat weight, however, maybe you're just making too many!

I cut out sugar for 8 months, only had splenda or diet soda, it did nothing for me so i'm going back to real sugar. I lost 10lbs when I started vaping and then went into a stand still. Diets don't work btw you gotta change how you eat and exercise forever. Pilates is a really good toning exercise. I do them when my neck isnt acting up.

lol - no Mary - I do not drink it - I was just stating what I read.

I really think the weight is from sitting too much. I sit all day. Now, thanks to this forum, I am sitting at night too!!!

I'm hypoglycemic (sp?) so i can't cut out sugars and carbs... But what I did do.. and probably the closest thing to a diet I've ever done or even entertained the idea of doing... cut out soda.. All together. Not switching to diet (because there is still crap in diet soda that makes you fat) not cutting back.. I cut myself off all together, drank flavored water, teas, and juices. I went a whole year with only 2 sodas (now I'll do 1 or 2 SMALL soda's a month) and I dropped 40lbs just from that alone. The first 20 or so were gone in the first 3ish months.. the other 20 took a lot longer. I refuse to diet.. I love food too much. But when I was staring down a scale at over 200lbs (I'm 5'6) I knew I had to do something.. so I compromised.... might be somethign to look into.

Really? I'd be interested to learn more about that.
I know that I don't like drinking diet soda that has been artificially sweetened.

Now that I think about it, I think I heard somewhere what you heard.

I was 11 when I heard the following, so don't take my word on it (I was just 11, who knows if I heard it right lol) but there was a test that if you consume 80 cans of diet pop a day, every day, you'll get cancer. There is something in diet pop that was worse than regular.

I, thanks to my unqualified birth parents lol, have a habbit of drinking pop. I've tried carbonated water from like sams club, or different varieties at walmart... but I just can't enjoy it as much as pop. The only thing that I can drink regularly is the sparkling green tea, but after a week I can't take it much longer. I need something else ... like a pop.

:(

Honestly I think there is something in them that is adictive. The first 2 weeks without soda was really hard for me to stick to, I would seriously crave a soda worse than I would a cigarette but I kept forcing myself to go for juice or water instead. Now if I drink more than a can of soda at a time it makes me sick and most the time I don't even finish the can, the last 3 that I got (about 1 a week) I drank half or 1/3rd and gave the rest to someone else because I didn't want anymore. I'd much rather have a big glass of ice tea (sweetened with REAL sugar tyvm) or a nice glass of Orange Juice :D

People say it's teh caffeine. I know everytime that I go an extended period of time without a soda of any sort, I get a really bad headache. I guess it's a "caffeine headache". If i wasn't in school I would try harder to get off of pop. But, I stick with it, because I'm not in the mood to feel like sh*t when I have a crap load of homework due almost every week. :(

And yes! stress puts on weight, especially around the middle.

One thing is for sure, my middle stresses me out. :D I just started dieting yesterday and I'm trying to exercise through the arthritis pain. I'm taking it slow. Since vaping I've put on another 3lbs according to the scale. Other than that, I think I snack less now that I vape.

That is pretty questionable science. The have been corralative studies that show that a high percentage of people who drink diet soda are overweight, but the first rule of statistical analysis is that corralation does not equal causation, it is much more likely that fat people are on a perpetual diet, thus drinking diet soda, than it is that diet soda makes you fat. There are some very early studies that do indicate that artificial sweeteners do increase appetite though, so if that can be duplicated, there could be something to that, but even then, it just makes you hungry, its what you choose to put in your mouth as a result of that hunger that makes you fat :)
