I don't know anything about electronics but it seems like people are getting afraid of these numbers.

Correct me if I'm wrong but these should still vary depending on how hard you use your PV.

Not that they aren't important, but it seems like there should be quite a few other factors to keep you from tossing those atomizers so quickly...

I like just a 5V device with a regular 510 atty much better than 3.7 with a LR atty. To me it's more flavorful and less burnt tasting.

I didn't really believe this when I first heard it but after trying a 5v box mod for the first time I completely agree. The only downside is that I popped two attys this weekend. I have yet to lose an atty beforehand. One was the one that came with my 510 started kit almost three months ago that I used daily. I've never even lost an LR atty at 3.7.

Yeah, it comes with the territory. I've only lost 1 or 2 in about 5 months or so. I just have a stock of 510 attys now in case that happens. It is a little bit of a learning curve, and the longer you do it, the longer your attys will last, in my experience anyway. I usually don't clean my attys unless they start getting a real hard draw, then I do a dry burn. I've lost a couple during the dry burn, though, but I think they were on their way out anyway.

One was a 901 and the 510 had been making popping sounds at 3.7 for a while now so I wouldn't be shocked if it was on it's way out. I just find it odd that on both of the attys I didn't kill them mid drag. I just picked up the pv at some point to find out that it wasn't working. Is that normal?

I can't go back to an LR atty now, not that I was a big fan anyways.

+1

I was really pulling for LR to work out for me but I feel the same way. Another advantage to 5v is that you can use different brand 510 attys as a voltage selector. Sometimes I like getting more flavor with an SLB, once in a while I'll even use an LR to simulate 6v. :vapor:
