Difference between Echo and eGo help!

Hi there,

What's the difference between an Echo and an eGo?

Are both 510 threading? Can I use a Boge carto on an Echo instead of the usual Echo cartos?

It looks like the Echo is Kr8/901-compatible, not 510. I'd go with the eGo, as it is in the more standard 510 fitting so you can use all sorts of other cartos, etc. The eGo also has a tank system for in-line dripping if you ever want to move in that direction.

Check a few vendors, most carry adapters, a 808 to 510 adapter and you can use anything you want, and the Echo batteries get some good reviews...

Just make sure that the place you purchase from has a good warranty. Most of the suppliers selling echo's only have a 7 or 14 day warranty which is sort of odd.

I've read good things about the echo but that would put me off a bit.

The good thing about the echo is large battery and large cartomizer that were made to be recleaned and reused. If you get an ego you can use the echo cartos with an adaptor on the ego battery or they do make echo-e kits with 510 threading.

thanks for the reply guys! Was really intrigued by the Echo VV set. Any one knows if that is 510 threading or 808?
Also, if it is a 510 threading, will I be able to fit my eGo cone on it?

The Echo-E is 510 threaded and will accept anything that is 510. The Echo is kr808d-1 threading. The Echo-E and eGo are almost the same...the Echo-E has a tad bit of a higher voltage from what I've read. I have an Echo-E kit on the way.
