Since you seem to be the one who helps me in all my threads I'll ask here. How does a silver bullet power a dual coil 1.5? Good vapor, throat hit etc? Is it enough? Will it be better than the standard egos I've been using anyway? lol It has to be.

It is a big difference hitting a dual coil on an 18650 batt compared to an ego, ego batt = about 3.3v, freshly charged 18650 = about 4.2v.

The DCC really comes alive between 4.2 & 4.5v, and that would require that you get a Kick by Evolv for your SB somewhere down the line. Altsmoke.com is also a dlr for the kick as well as the maker of the SB. They also now have an extension for the SB so that the Kick fits along with a 18650 bat instead of a 18500 bat.
Tell you what tho' if you put a kick in your SB you will forget about the DCC's because a simple 3ohm carto can probably deliver more than you can handle.

Really, even at 1.5 ohms? Crap! Should have gotten the provari v2. :(

I believe that a 1.5 ohm single coil far exceeds the performance of a 1.5 ohm dual coil, both Smoktech. 310vapers has the 1.5 single coils that can be harder to find (than the 1.7 ohm). Others find the Kanger horizontal coils work better as well but I haven't tested them thoroughly enough to form an opinion.

Need to remember that they are really two 3 ohm coils, not 1.5 ohm coils.
As a point of refference, a 3 ohm coil at 5v would be 8.33 watts. At 3.7v you would only be supplying 4.56 watts of power to each coil of a DCC.
Actually, the easiest device to ramp up a DCC is the little MV VV box mod.
Just remember that when you ramp up a DCC vaping 24mg juice becomes like vaping 48mg juice.

Well, I already have the SB on the way. I am really curious about the kick you'd mentioned in an earlier post. Would that work for the dual coils?
I have to admit, having a PV that self adjusts to my desired wattage for any given resistance of device is very appealing. Kind of an automatic VV.
I'm going to fiddle with the SB on its own for a bit but probably won't be long before I try order a kick.
Just hope they get it in stock in Canada again soon.

I may end up making some mods of my own to the SB when I get it too. If the aluminum is thick enough at the 510 connection end I will machine away a drip well. Might bevel the edges instead of round and may also turn down the battery tube some. From the pics, looks like its pretty thick walled. Lose some weight and size and make it improved and unique.
Being a machinist and electronics guy has its advantages in the vaping world. :)

Yes you can adjust the Kick for DCC's. However, the Kick is going to read your DCC as just another 1.5ohm carto/atty. So your setting of the kick will be specific to DCC's , you will have to readjust it when you use a single coil atty/carto.
Here is a simple trick if you want a drip well:

All I used was an eGo-510 adapter and an old eGo cone that I had laying around.
The adapter from AvidVape has a shoulder for the cone to sit on which gives a good seal.
