I like the Sigelei Zmax. (That's essentially what Bobo is.) If I had to pick a tube mod within that price range, I would pick the Zmax. Bobo is my favorite tube mod, second to the ProVari.

ETA: There is no need to suggest anyone get a ProVari. There are hundreds of threads discussing it's features. "Search" is a useful tool. A ProVari sells itself. If someone wants one, they will buy one. If they don't, they won't. It's the same with any type of gear.

Drop a zmax from 10ft I bet on it being broke and not made in usa, provari though is usa made and I can drop it from 20ft and it would fire like it wasn't dropped.

A guy came into our store. He is a metal worker. Dropped his Provari from 150 feet. One-hundred-and-fifty feet. The only things that broke? The tank and the screen.

Same guy dropped it in his back yard, couldn't find it. It rained for two days. He finally found it, let it air-dry, put in a new battery, the thing fired like the first day he got it.

He still rocks it without the glass screen, though. I told him they'd fix it cheap, but he said, "I don't even care, man, it still works like new."

The Segelei ZMax Mini is a nice looking mod, especially the flat top variety. About the same size as a Mini Provari. Seems like it would be a nice mod for the price if you don't mind a short warranty and not being able to get it fixed should it break down after warranty.

After owning a couple of Smoktech PV's, I doubt that I'll ever buy another.

I like the size and color options of the mini Zmax, but I prefer smaller devices in general. The Sigelei flat-top telescopic is nice for people who want different size configurations.

rounding third and heading home...
Is the Zmax a Provari clone? I see they look alike....do they have the same features, quality, etc.?

which zmax? sigelei or smoktech. the sigelei is a heck of a lot better than the smoktech. I 've had the sigelei zmax v3 flattop for 9 months and I am totally happy with it. the money I saved by not buying a provari went to the never ending juice and topper search. I have since bought numerous dna20 mods but I use my sigelei every day and never regretted not overpaying for a provari. the provari people will talk about customer service and dependability, but believe it or not, there are other mods out there that perform well(some actually do more) for a lot less money. I've said it before and i'll say it again-the provari is a well made mod, but other technology has and will pass it by- it's like owning a really well made rotary phone. let the attacks begin......:p

I can't argue with that statement, as I've never owned anything more well-built and guaranteed than a Provari. They may be out there, but I've heard nothing about them as far as names or resiliency goes. I've seen Hanna mods fail (the charging port), I've seen Darwins die (they just... died, dude). I've yet to hold or vape from an NES controller DNA20 mod, but they look cool.

Yeah, I'm sure there are probably mods out there that are cheaper and can do more, but in a Pepsi challenge, would I choose it over a Provari? Mmmm, I'm biased, but most probably not. But then again, I am biased. I've heard a ton of horror stories about various mods over the past year. Ironically, and I'm not lying here, the only stories I've ever heard from Provari owners are how awesome they are. A Provari sob story, outside of losing it or having it stolen? None.

If anyone has a Provari sob story, and I'm not being snarky here, please chime in.

Both will work just fine to satisfy your nicotine addiction. But when the two are compared side by side there is a big difference. The OP didn't ask about other mods but if those are thrown in to the comparison I think they should be put into specific categories before reviewing. It's like asking what the differences are between a Blu and DNA20.
