Nothing.. they work.. but the threads on the provari... they're special...
Right on... I really only use my Vamo from time to time any more. Most of the time I use my other mods. They all have the same "crunchy" threads, so I guess I've never been fascinated with fine threaded devices.

You know, going past an ego is a very confusing, and expensive proposition these days. I will say, it is wonderful there are so many options.

Most everyone has an ideal device in their head, they may not have thought much about it, but it is still there.

My ideal device? I wanted everything, lol. I have an outdoors kind of job. I needed something that was small, that would last all day, and free me from my man purse >.<

I am also a cheap ......., ummm....thrifty! So I went for proof of concept before stepping up to the "quality device".

I bought some ego twists for the vv, and yes it is a wonderful thing. My next step was a vv/vw mod, I chose the SVD, stainless steel/telescoping. It too is a very nice device, my only real problem is it is huge. So it is my computer desk device, I even love that it looks like a light saber. I also tried a mechanical, I got a KTS+ and with help from a kitty we all know, started using dripping attys and RBAs.

With lots of poking around, and asking lots of questions, I was headed in one direction, I just didn't know it at the time. I was looking for the pick up truck. I came so close to buying the vapage xl bottom feeder many times, I just kept getting hung up on the negative review points. It is leaky, you have to do the whole tilty thing. The only other alternative was very expensive, and had a following. You could call me gun shy of "cult like" mods after all of the provari threads.

I have recently purchased a Reo Grand with the RM2. It is everything "I" was looking for. It lasts all day, no need of extra bottles of juice or batteries. It fits in my pocket. The one thing that had me worried was the atty, I am still not good at judging when to drip (dry hits) and when not to (flooding). The RM2, Reomizer solves this, you can't flood the thing, it drains well so you could refill after every hit and it just drains the excess back into the bottle, and no leaks.

Three and a half months in and just recently down to 0 nic, I have a better grasp on all of this, starting to DIY my own juice. I can really see a place for a Provari on my computer desk when the SVD dies, boy do they need to make it telescope!

Where this is going???? This stuff is intimidating on a new vaper, go easy on us.

Thanks for all the help!

Vamos are made out of stainless steel or brass. You can't get much more heavy duty than that. Other than the center pin problems that plague the Vamos (and just about every 510 device), the Vamos are very solid units for their price point. I can bet that the 5 Vamos I can get for the price of one Provari will outlast the Provari.

I'll take that bet.

I like the Provari interview.

At first, I really wanted either the VTR. I also was looking for the Cyborg version of the DNA20. The DNA20 is not for me, though- it doesn't do well at low voltages. I have also found from playing around with the eVic (that I OVER PAID for at a B&M because it needed a PV quickly), that VW is not really a big deal. I end up adjusting the voltage, or wattage, in the course of the day. The VV on the Provari would be more than adequate for my usage.

Oh... And Mike knows about the American made, extendable one year warranted, heavy if it falls on your toe, (the mass would presumably remain constant even if you missed your toe) Provari.

Dont feel bad about paying too much at a B&M I have done that more than I would like to admit sometimes we want it when we want it.

Provari fan here. Have been for some time. I have been through tons of crap before grabbing a provari. I just want a reliable device. Pick it up, use it, drop it, run it over, pick it up, use it again... It hasn't failed me. I have not been keeping up with the latest "trends", no need to. When you find something that just works.... why mess with it? The provari with an aga-t2 for advanced users, the provari with a vivi tank and replaceable heads for novice users... really can't go wrong there.

I lurv my new Provari. The fit and finish is SOOO much nicer than my friends Vamo. As for the cost thing. I'd much rather have 1 Ferrari than 5 SRT-4s.

To me, one of the biggest benefits of the Provari is the service. I got my Provari last Friday only to find on Saturday that the resistance function wasn't working likely due to a bad connection from the PCB to the top cap. I don't fault Provape at all for that, it's impossible to have 100% perfect quality control. What impressed me is that I submitted my RMA Monday, got a prepaid shipping label and mailed it back the same day. A new unit shipped on Tuesday and I received my new fully functional Provari on Wednesday.

I have 2 years of warranty on my device and even after that they will repair the unit for the cost of components for life. I recognize that down the line if it has problems it will have to be repaired rather than replaced, but the fast RMA has massively bolstered my confidence in their customer support.

Plus, if a new and improved model is to be released, I take comfort in knowing that they will likely offer me a way to upgrade for far cheaper than buying a full new device.

Provari > Vamo
