Started vapin' bout' a week ago, after doing ALOT of research. I live in (a vaping "hotspot") FortMyers, Fl. & decided on trying out"downtown Vapor" as a starting point, after recieving such possitive reviews. So I went in, with the intention on purchasing a V2, or vivi nova wick setup, to go with a ego-c twist-(ALL of which they had advertised, & sold on their website). Well, I did end up purchasing a ego-twist, but the sales guy steered me towards a DCT-carto' setup rather than the vivi, or v2 wick I was planning on. He said "that id get more flavor out of the dct-carto, than the wick type. And that they(new wick devices) were more of a new novelty item, and the employees all use dct-carto's. I went along with his suggestion, & Im quite happy with my dct-carto. But, I was left wondering about the advice, and reasoning ever since... After all, where all of the OTHER good reviews, etc about the vivi's, and wick devices Ive come across just excitement over a new product, or was there trully "something to be-had there??? & DOES/is my "NOTE"-Generic- DCT-carto' the better option?? & why?? Lastly, Ive also been wondering about my "GENERIC" DCT-Carto, & if there's a notable difference, between it, and a "reputable" name brand dct-carto like "smoktek"??-(or however its pronounced). Id REEALLY appreciate ANY reply's, advice, or clarity, anyone with a little more experience can help shed on my 2 questions!! Thanx-Alot! (again, id like to point out, Im quite happy, just curious if I can possibly squeeze out abit more performance, taste, or enjoyment with a namebrand carto', and whats the deal with the "wick devices")??? Thanx again, for any help, & replys!!

I think it's just personal preference. I have tanks and a vivi, right now I am enjoying the vivi for the lack of hassle and fidgeting that I was getting from my tanks. No need for primer puffs, hole punching/slotting, no leaks (yet), easier to refill, and I had a bad run of cartos. This is just personal opinion though, they're both great and do what they should.

Ed* They're also both cheap enough to pick up a spare to try out for yourself. Everyone has a preference, I won't say what yours is.

Ed* same with the cartos, they're cheap enough to try another brand and decide. If the generics are working then that's all that matters.

I don't use duel coils in my tanks I use single coils because they seem to burn hotter and don't drain my batteries as fast. I enjoy vaping a carto/tank set up better than anything else I have tried so far.

I have a couple Vivi novas. They are OK too but I do NOT get as nice a hit off them as I do from a tank set up. Some folks claim they do but my experience doesn't back that up.

I also think my juice goes further using Carto's/tanks than it does in the Vivi nova.

And to answer that part of your post. I think all these plastic type tanks are all exactly the same. I do think the Cartomizer you may end up putting inside them can play a role in the quality of the vape but as far as the tank itself? I don't think it matters one bit.

i too use both, 3 dct and 2 vivi nova's(a 1.0 and 2.0), i like both just fine, personally i get a better flavor off of the tanks but the carto pop noise drove my wife crazy. with the vivi there is no noise, and a little less flavor but i mix my own juice so i can just bump up the flavoring a bit and its all good. the vivi is less hassle as far as refilling and is cleanable for quick flavor changes as where the tanks take a little more work to refill and can be cleaned but done wrong you risk growth of mold and bacteria.

i personally have never had any interaction with the ft. myers shop as they are new and i moved across the glades before they opened. but when i was in cape coral my favorite place to go was vapin in the cape. the owners are super nice, and scott is a very up to date person on the latest vaping trends and gadgets.

Hey, thanx alot for the reply's! Sorry bout' the missunderstanding, but I WAS refering to carto ITSELF, & not the tank!-lol... Thanx again, Im probably gonna stick w/ the dct-carto setup for now(maybe try out some smoktek cartos) since its working, & have no prob. with leaking, or anything so far. Also wondering about dif. E-juice brands. Theres enough to make your head spin, and it really seems, some can be great, while others, well... Not so much... Who do anybody suggest?? Ive been preferencial to dragons blood from my local store, I seem to like the fruity flavs. As they tend to have nice flav., but also not too sickingly sweet like some can be.
