Differences between eGo, Super eGo, and eGo Mega?

Greetings again,

I would have posted this in the eGo specific forum, but I still have to post here. I've been looking around and have decided to get a Super eGo starter kit as my first real PV (I started with the $25 South Beach Smoke Deluxe Kit from Groupon, but realized it's going to be way too expensive to just use their cartomizers). Anyway, I was wondering what the actual differences between the eGo, Super eGo, and eGo Mega are? I couldn't find any information on the variations on joyetech's site. Are the variations on the eGo just custom kits some vendors put together, or are there actual differences in the hardware?

Sorry if these are stupid questions. Thanks!

ok guys, i'm no authority, but let me give you a few pointers: first off the designation of -Go after a letter or other prefix (KGO, eGo, go-go, etc.) is an indication on the extra cone threading on the outside of the 510 connection.....the things you should look at are the letters in the suffix (-c, -t, -w, etc.)...anyways, most of the letter suffixes just indicate the initial system that is packaged with it, like the atomizer or tank system coming with the device....in essence, they are all JUST BATTERIES....most of them are just fixed voltage batteries with the special "eGo" threading regulated to give you a constant 3.2 volts to the atomizer...so regardless of what you choose, chances are you're going to find a preferred juice delivery system like a cartomizer or clearomizer, and use it instead of the packaged system...

now on to technicalities.....if you're looking for low fiddle factor, then buy a KGO instead of the eGo....it gives higher voltage (4.2 off charge, 3.7 volts continuously) and is the overall better fixed-voltage battery, and uses the same threads....regardless of what battery you choose, going fixed voltage you want LOW RESISTANCE cartomizers or clearomizers, since they push such low power to the coils.

if you want better performance, i suggest the eGo twist, as it gives you variable voltage versatility, and the ability to use standard resistance (~2.0 ohm) cartomizers or clearomizers....and if you feel that you like a warmer vape, its simply as easy as turning the end cap.

all in all, its a matter of opinion, and what works for you...but do research...get educated before you make the decision, but make one

They are all the same. Different size batteries some have added safety features I didnt care for. The joyetech batteries don't allow certain rebuildable coils to function. So I avoid them, others do the same. As far as "kits" go its a battery, charger, and cart/atty, sometimes a case. Some have a couple batteries, it looks like vendors could put them together. But they prob get them that way. You can just buy batteries and cart/attys once you have the charger. depending on how big a battery you need. I use a ego twist from discountvapers with a phoenix.

Based on Joyetech website here:

Eroll = cigarette sized
Ecab = cigarette sized with removable battery (10440 batteries)

Ego = Ego-C = Ego-T = cigar sized (C = changeable and T = tank, both refers to what's included in the starter's kit)
Ego T Mod = cigar sized with removable battery (18650 batteries)
Ego T USB = passthru = connect via USB, allow you to charge and vape at the same time
Ego-C Twist = cigar sized with variable voltage (VV) from 3.2-4.8V

For non Joyetech Ego-style batteries (knockoff/clones):

Ego Mega = larger capacity Ego
Ego V6 = Ego style VV limited to 4V,5V,6V
Ego Mega VV = Ego style VV limited to 3.2,3.7,4.2V + LCD
Super Ego VV = passthru VV from 3-6V + LCD
Super Ego VV 14500 = VV from 3-6V + LCD + removable battery (14500 batteries)

Vision Spinner = Ego-C Twist in functionality w/ slight design modifications
KgoVV = Super Ego VV in functionality but differ in design
SLB eGo-V True VV Pass Thru = KgoVV

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I was actually thinking of just putting together an eGo Twist/Cartomizer setup myself, but I kind of wanted to start up with the most basic and "standard" setup I could find, even if it's a bit outdated, just so I could get an idea of everyone else's experience before I start playing around with new stuff. Thanks for the info. There's so much stuff out there, but it's getting less confusing as I read more.

as far as basic setups go, grab a KGO, best fixed voltage device on the market without jumping to a mod, hoosierecig.com has the kit for like 45 bucks, and grab you some 1.5-2.0 ohm cartomizers...if you'd like to try a clearomizer, the only ones i could recommend wholeheartedly is the mini vivi nova, as it's the only one i've found doesn't start sucking a week in....i say the KGO because it's simply the superior battery to the standard eGo because you'll get better power from it, also feel free to grab dual coil 1.5 ohm cartos or my personal favorite, the MEGA dual coil cartos from smoke tech.
