Kanger T2 - This is really a great top coil tank. UPSIDE: It vapes super smooth, the smoothest of any tank I've ever used, I love vaping on this // Simple, very functional // Well made // Quiet DOWNSIDE: You have to tip it over once in a while to get the wicks wet, which is not really all that bad // Wet wicks are unsightly especially on dark colored liquids, looks gross to non-vapers // It's not easy to rid the wicks of the prior taste of some juices // Small mouthpiece

Kanger T3 - A bottom coil Atomizer that simply sucks. It's no surprise Kanger replaced this with the T3S model quickly. DOWNSIDE: Its super gurgly, leaky (frequently leaks from the barrel and out into the mouthpiece), wastes juice and really not well made // Replacement Coils/Atomizer is attached to base, a bit more expensive to replace // UPSIDE: It can be easily upgraded to the T3S model by purchasing the T3S Base replacement ($1+) and T3S, EVOD or ProTank Atomizer ($2) - BIG PROPS to Kanger for this.

Kanger EVOD - a great little bottom coil tank that does the job. UPSIDE: Generally problem free // Practical // Easy to clean // Easy/Cheap replacement Coil/Atomizers// Better mouthpiece than previous Kanger models // Liquid window near the mouthpiece to see the liquid when tipped over // Gurgle free most of the time DOWNSIDE: Small Capacity // The paint chips off on impact // If you purchase the $3 EVOD knockoff from FastTech, ALL the paint will eventually come off, although when it's all removed, you basically have a decent looking silver EVOD.

Kanger MT3 - this is just basically a T3 with metal instead of plastic tank. It still sucks as much as the T3 does. UPSIDE: Same as T3 (can be converted to T3S bottom coil specs) // Large 3ml Capacity DOWNSIDE: Same as T3 // Still has the cheesy, small black mouthpiece.

Kanger MT3S - This is an awesome, solid bottom coil tank, a grown up EVOD. It does not quite have the smooth draw of the top-coil T2, but still really good. One thing I really like about this tank is a very nice heavy feel to it in my hands. After handling many different kinds liquid carriers, this feels solid and heavy, unlike the others which feel somewhat flimsy, and despite this the MT3S still cost less than $10! More UPSIDES: Improved, larger and more aesthetic mouthpiece, similar to the EVOD // Large 3ml Capacity // Barely gurgles // Improved bottom coil set-up, interchangeable Coil/Atomizer with EVOD and ProTanks // Downside: Chips on impact, a bit wider than a standard eGo battery, looks awkward on 650mAh non-twists and smaller batteries, but looks good on longer batteries.

VapeOnly mini BCC tank - A bottom-coil tank that I dislike as much as the Kanger T3. UPSIDE: Replaceable tip DOWNSIDES - gurgly // expensive // aesthetically doesn't match common eGo batteries // has a strange, rough draw, feels like something's in the way

DCT 6ml Cartomizer Tank: A cartomizer submerged inside a tank. 2 small holes draw liquid from the tank into the cartomizer. Smooth vape, smoother than my bottom coil tanks, but far from the smoothness of the Kanger T2. UPSIDE: Large 6ml Capacity! // Vapes nice // Replacable Tip DOWNSIDE: Easy to make a mistake with the Cartomizer and cause liquid spill (improved with the U-DCT version) // It's a lot fatter than the standard eGo battery (can purchase an adaptor to have a seamless look) // The plastic can look cheap to some eyes // Noisy

Looking forward to getting some ProTanks.

Hope this review helps.

I'm new to vaping so I went with a starter kit with a 1300 mah battery and to clear tanks. I kept reading and decided to purchase the Kanger EVOD bcc tank with a 1.8 ohm coil. I vape a lot and so far I haven't changed the coil. I did however order some 2.5 ohm coils which will arrive in today's mail. I was told since I have a fixed voltage battery that the 2.5 ohm coil may give me a better taste as I have noticed a slight burn taste.

My next purchase will be a a VV battery so I can get the flavor I want from the juice. I learned a lot since joining here.

I have not found the price of a EVOD for $3.00. I wonder if you purchased a knock off. I have the black and chrome tanks and both are sturdy.

I've had the Tabac BCC's which are supposed to be the T3's, since they came out over a year ago and never had any leaks. It may be that heaven gifts and good prophets which sell them under the tabac bcc label have better stuff, I don't know. The T3S was added to accomodate the cheaper coil units of the evod. My experience with the Evod is about the same as your experience with the T3.

Yes, the EVODS from FastTech, sold as "EVOD" are not sold under the Kanger brand, and are therefore knockoffs. (I will edit the OP to clarify). They are an 'almost' exact replica, perhaps save for the paint they use to coat the tank, which Kanger probably use higher quality. The paint from these knockoffs peel off easily, even after just a couple of weeks. At least you can peel/scratch it all off with your thumbnails and it ends up as a nice, functional silver EVOD.

Yes the Tabac T3 and Kanger T3 are pretty much the same. I should have clarified on my review that (and I will edit after this post) that the leaking I was referring to is not leaking from the base of the unit, but leaking of juice into the barrel and out to the top of the mouthpiece. This is the cause of the gurgling as well. It's the sickness of the T3 line, it just wasn't engineered right. It's a good thing that converting the T3 (or MT3) to the T3S (or MT3S) is easy and cheap by replacing it with a T3S base. I purchase that for $0.95 ea. from here ... although the T3S bases are the cheapest you can find, the Coil/Atomizer reloads at this store are expensive and can be found a lot cheaper elsewhere (I get them at Sunvapers.com).

I will confirm that the vapeonly mini BCC(also sold under the ismoka brand) is garbage and you should not waste your money.

Yes correct, the iSmoka is the same one, although they look different: Vapeonly has black trimmings, while the iSmoka has silver. Either way they both suck.

And I should clarify too - it's the gurgling that I get with the evods but not the tabac bcc's. Neither have leaked from the batt connection or from cracked tanks as I had with some vision products.... i have seen others reporting on the gurgling and juice in the mouth from both but I just never experienced it with the tabac's.

You have good luck on your Tabac MT3, unfortunately I also have the same, and it does suffer from gurgling and mouthpiece leak. It's hard to understand why it happens to some and not to others (some QC issue maybe, or perhaps juice thickness/temperature/voltage). One thing is for sure though, in my case, all iteration of T3's I've had (4 kinds) suffer from it badly. I took some pics just now, took the Tabac MT3 and flicked it on to paper towel (see the juice that is left on the paper towel), The Tabac MT3 that is pictured below is 8 days old. The pics were just taken a few min ago:

I have the Tabac BCC without the cosmetic metal skin of the MT3. As far as protank goes - I like the mini protank, no problems except I have to break off a toothpick in one of the three airholes to get a good draw. I also have a big protank that works well but there's an off taste that I so far haven't been able to get rid of. Don't know what it is. I know version 2 of the protank is out now and uses compression instead of glue for the glass, so perhaps that may be it.

I'm really new to vaping and started with the eGo Twist. Great post! It really helps having this to help make decisions. When I go to my local e-cig store, while the staff is super helpful, they are out for the sale (duh). Threads like this really help a newbie navigate the ocean of tanks!

I really like the T2, but I love my Vision Mini Vivi Nova. It looks great (with the cone of course), and at 2 ml, it's decent sized, not to mention I've had no issues with leakage so far. Plus, I can easily switch out my drip tip without an adapter, so that's a win as well. But I enjoyed your review, and it makes me reconsider getting the MT3 for my first BCC.

Please note there is a difference between the MT3 and the MTR3S - The MT3S is a the upgraded version that I would recommend... there is also the T3S -- same as the MT3S, but with a clear tank instead of Metal jacket.

Thank you... I think you just convinced me to buy a Kanger MT3S. Looking forward to it.

Understand, the T3S is the same as the MT3S but without the metal jacket. It's just cosmetic and it adds weight and obscures the view of the tank.

Same with the evod, btw, as far as the metal skin. evod doesn't have the capacity 1.6ml vs. 3.0ml.
