Anyone receive their refund from Fog It Up? Nothing here yet. I did cancel a couple of items with fasttech at least two days after FogItUp said they were refunding my cc. fasttech refund has already shown up on my cc account.

After seeing how quickly the refund appeared from fasttech, I opened a dispute with my cc company with the FOGITUP orders. Hopefully this will get resolved soon.

You can even get a draw with all the airflow rings closed ! Too airy for me.

That's what I'm referring to when I say "Blow-By". That's one of the reasons I like the Siren so much, it doesn't have that trait (at least mine doesn't) so it'll let me dial down my air flow to just what I want it to be. I suspect that it takes finer machining, closer tolerances, and more time to do a tight airflow than it does to make a looser one like on the Fuji, hence, more costly. That might be some of the reason they quit making the Siren at the price they were asking, but I'm just guessing here, again (I've been doing that alot lately). ;)

It was also rather large as well which I didn`t mention.

Chunky coils and wide open airflow - it would probably suit someone else but it wasn`t the OOTB MTL experience I had hoped for.
(I really expected it not to be though but you must try these things out to know for certain)

I`ve tried lots of single coil RBAs over the past year/s, the majority were like that so it came as no surprise whatsoever.

There`s that other thing coming from 2fdeal, which I can`t even remember the name of - so that will be another experiment I expect to fail miserably but we`ll see when it arrives.

(edit: it`s the Shenray SR v4 + MTL kit)

I have been eyeing up the Cthulhu MTL as well today (it`s on GB for £17 atm) but even that has some instant turn-off features at first look.

Adjustable juice control which looks a pain as I don`t close off air control when filling and most certainly not juice control - I have better things to waste my time on than fiddling about with vaping chores.

Even PBusardo said it`s awkward with so many "turning parts"...that sounds annoying too as I`ve had things like it.

Yet they said at some point recently that they have "tightened the tolerances" on it to help prevent leaking with high PG users - so I am considering testing one of those.

24mm wide but only 58 high - but only 3ml capacity, a bit on the low side for the size of it really.
(we were spoiled with the Erlkonigins 6ml capacity - nothing has matched it to my knowledge, re: size vs capacity at least)

It`s a neverending game looking for something just that bit better/easier/nicer than what you already have.

I need to go and check out the Hussar now you mentioned it - I can`t recall the reason why I haven`t tested it already.

Cthulhu MTL ordered - so that will be another to tryout (I ditched the Cthulhu v2 for some reason)

You never know, one of these days we might all find something really remarkable....with no annoying quirks (we can hope)

I haven't even checked yet, gotta do that though. Thanks for the reminder Riplea.

Yea, might accidentally find a good one. That's how I found the Siren, I stumbled onto this thread and started reading.

OK, the Hussar is on a flash sale on GB so just got one to test after a quick look.

2fdeal has the "drip tip-less" top cap available separately...but went with GB as it`s cheaper.

That built in drip tip was one thing that put me off originally - I now remember looking at it.

The pull-up refill looked as though it cold be a bit awkward too - but I`ll give it a go anyway, hoping it won`t need removing fully just to get my refill needle in.
I hope it doesn`t force the juice out when closing off due to air pressure, things like this have foiled me in the past.
This is why I prefer the surface\twist types - like the Erlkonigin = no added air pressure when closing forcing excess juice into the wick/deck.

2mm + 2.5mm airflow tubes (sounds OK)
Poly tank - (I need visibility)

I only got a credit email from FogItUp, but no credit to my account yet. I had ordered a Mega Volt with it, but it appears that they canceled my entire order, judging by the email.

@52anddone , good morning (don't know if I'm the 'Debbie' you're referring to, because I haven't posted in the thread before now today)! :)

I had visitors over the weekend so haven`t checked in...so many pages...

The Fuji came last week and I wasn`t particularly impressed.
Ian already said the airflow is huge, I must agree..it is HUGE.
You can even get a draw with all the airflow rings closed ! Too airy for me.

The grub screws to catch the wires were another annoyance. (one was faulty OOTB - just kept turning, I had spares but even so..)
This is really made for thicker wire/coils - I had difficulty easily catching my 28g wire - a nuisance.

The wick slots/holes are still remarkably big - IMO - way too big.
You need something like a 4 or 5mm I.D. coil to get enough wick in without having to resort to tricks.

Also leaked directly out of the 510 pin, another shortcoming, the factory uses those hard plastic isolators, they need to use silicone or rubber for a proper seal. (This was my fault for not getting enough wick in at first of course - it didn`t just leak for no reason)

Result ? Personally I didn`t like it, it annoyed me sufficiently and early enough to get the boot.

Would likely be OK for a direct lung inhaler with thicker coils.

~~~~~~~~
So there`s a revised Siren coming allegedly ?!
If this is a revision I hope they`ve made some important changes that are necessary for making a re-run really worthwhile.
Your experience is totally different than mine. I am using 28ga 316L 3mm coil and had no trouble getting it on to catch. Just laid it into the slots and tightened them. That is the same coil that I use in the Siren. Only issue I had is that I am left handed and with the way that the coil slots are I had to coil it in reverse so that it would lay down. Wicking is identical to the Siren as well. I agree that the air hole is massive but I solved that to my satisfaction. Have been using it for two days now without any problem at all and the airflow is the same as my Siren. I ordered 2 more of them. Guess we are all different!!!!
I got an email saying Fogitup had issued us a credit, but the money hasn't made it's way into our account. I'm getting frustrated!
Just talked to FogItUp.com and asked why the money from my purchase of Sirens is not in my account. They said they have issued a credit, so it is in the bank's hands at this point. They said if I don't have the money by Monday, to please call them back. So, that's what I'll do, I don't have much choice in that.
I remember, way back when we were all a bit younger, about postings about bubbles (air pockets) at the bottom of the Siren's and the problems folks had trying to get them up and out. As I only have (1) 22mm Siren, and have been using it daily now for only 2 tank fulls (split time with my 25mm) I too have noticed this same thing happening with mine, my 22mm is a lot worse than my 25mm by a large margin, and I use a 60/40 PG mix in both. Just thought I'd report back on my findings so that others could compare there's. I don't find the bubbles any problem at all though, even in the 22mm.
I just checked my CC account and did not see any Refund either, and I got my Fogitup notice on the 10th, so only 2 days ago.
I get bubbles with my 22s, but they don't bug me. The only time they are an issue is when there is a huge bubble and I need to refill. If you don't get rid of the bubbles, it reduces the amount of liquid you can fit into the tank. Not a big deal, really.
