50/50 2.5mm coil. Not sure why people have leaking issues tbh. Even my v1's were fine with it.

I've had no leaking except my first or second ever attempt at wicking where I just made the wick way too thin (was still just getting a feel for it). Since then I have even ran a few tanks of cheap old Hangsen 70pg/30vg through it with no problem. I have wicked it fairly loose/thin up to so tight I could barely pull it through a 3 mm coil without bending it up and none of them have leaked. It's actually pretty forgiving as far as wicking goes.

I could see a "land bridge" formed between the wick and center (air hole) post causing problems, but I have not actually had any problem with that. I always slip the tip of my tweezers/screwdriver in there and make sure there is a gap, but who knows what happens under there after you put the cover over it.

Ive had a couple of the 24s from Myvaporstore and initially I loved it.
But lately Im getting intermittent harsh hits (in TC, SS 26g, .45 ohms, 15W, anywhere from 300 to 410 F as wick gets oxidized a bit)
Im guessing its wicking issues? any tips on best wicking?
I'm getting harsh hits on mine too (28g kanthal with koh gen do, 1.3 ohms at 11 watts).

So after using the Siren v2 for a few days. I'm not all that impressed. Am I doing something wrong. I've tried three coils. Two ss316l (3mm 26 gauge .6 ohms) slighty spaced. 440f 30-35 joules. Tried one of the coils that came with it. I'm vaping on the single 4th hole.

Is there a trick to making the flavor come to life in this?

I don't know that there is a trick I really am enjoying mine. I'm using one of the included coils ATM and rayon wicking. With that said, I really haven't vaped so many RTAs, I enjoyed the flavor in the Berserker and a Kayfun clone as well, to me the vape from an RTA seems pretty distinctive compared to drop in coils, (not worse or better, just different) and I think the Siren does the job just fine, really.

Good luck, sorry I don't have a magic solution or whatever.... I find the vape better the bottom half of the tank, I think it's because there's less juice to deal with for my mod... That's really the main thing that I've noticed (although I like the tank size).

Maybe try it with different PG/VG ratio?

On my 2nd tank of juice and I think it's stellar , big improvement from V1, I'm running a 1.3 ohm coil wicked with Rayon at 14 watts and I love it, no leaks or seepage, nice defined draw, looks great, plenty of bubbles to indicate great wicking. 0 dry hits so far.

Totally agree something very wrong with the flavour from the V2. I have tried many different coil setups presently using a 26/32 Clapton @ 1 ohm but not really much improvement. The version 1 is really much better in the flavour department shame about the airflow and the leaking !
The airflow options on the V2 are great and it doesn't leak but this is about the worst rta I've owned for flavour and I've had a lot.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one that thinks that. I ended up throwing my Kayfun Prime back on. Night and day difference between the two. I really wanted to enjoy this Siren v2.

I have just had mine for 1 day but I am happy with it so far. I had to adjust the wicking a couple of times to get the vape wet enough for me. Once I figured that out, the flavor is definitely there. Seems to need less wick than the V1. Love the top cap and the ease of refilling. Once I replaced the drip tip, I like the looks of it. Only issue that I have with this is that it will not screw on to my Smoant Battlestar. It's the only rta that I have that won't fit the Battlestar but it does look good on a Fuchai Duo 175w. I am going to give it into the new year to make sure I really do like it before I buy another.

I can only think it's the changes made to the air diffuser as this is really the only change that could have an impact on the flavour production. The move to three holes under the coil seems like a step backwards from the 'shower head type thing on the V1. I too really wanted this one to work as I did like the V1 siren but got sick of the leaking and lack of a decent mtl setting.

Yup, I enjoyed the flavor from the v1. But wish it had a tighter draw, and didn't leak.

I am still very happy with mine, rewicked it once so far, still getting great flavor. With that said, I've only tried the Kayfun clones, so perhaps I'm not comparing it to what may have come before... Pretty happy with the flavor on it, and yes, the wicking has to be just right to get a wet enough wick consistently. Too tight and flavor will definitely lag.

That's interesting. I do agree that the Prime gives better flavour than the Siren v2, but I wouldn't call the difference night and day. I've described it before as "not quite as good, but in the same class", which certainly doesn't seem to be your experience. I wonder what's causing the difference? For what it's worth, my coil is 30 g 316L, 3 mm ID, spaced.

I may try closing off the two outer holes on the diffuser as perhaps the airflow is going round the sides of the coil. Maybe a single centre hole under the coil( a more conventional setup) will produce better flavour . It will of course tighten the airflow but should be able to compensate to some degree with the adjustment ring.

After much messing around with this tank, this is what finally works really well for me:-

Take 3 lengths of 28g kanthal A1 wire. Hold them together and put one end in vice and the other end in the chuck of a variable speed drill. I separate the ends at the chuck so each wire is poking out between the gaps between the 3 jaws. Clamp it all tight and hold the wire taught whilst you slowly operate the drill clockwise and twist the 3 wires. Do this until you get a pitch of about 0.5mm. Doesn't have to be that accurate, but it has to be tight but don't over do it. Snip both ends.

Now make a coil from the twisted wire. You want 9 full turns on a 3.5mm former. This will give you 1 ohm resistance. Spread the coil slightly and fit it. Break the legs off by working them back and forth against the grub screws. They should break off flush. If you cut them you can get a short against the bell housing. Fire it at about 20 watts or so to burn off residue and settle the wire. Scrape it a bit and re-fire it.

When its cool I then wick it using cotton bacon. It should be reasonably firm in the coil but then work it back and forth slightly so it loosens off a little bit but not too much. Stroke off any stray cotton fibres and then cut it so that the legs will just be visible below the level of the platform but definitely NOT touching the bottom of the tank. Fluff the ends up and recut if necessary to get rid of any increase in length due to fluffing. Wet the coil and legs with juice and I use the bottle tip to push the wick legs into the platform cut outs. Screw the rest of the tank back on. My first fill is always to a guesstimate level just below the air holes. Just in case the cotton hasn't expanded fully in the cut outs. Otherwise it will leak. Ask me how I know....lol

I leave it 10 minutes and then vape at 25 watts. The flavour is great and no leaks. Absolutely loving it.

I'm no expert and I'm sure there are a shed load of different ways of building the deck, but I just outlined in detail exactly what I do to get this tank working really well for me with no leaks or dry hits. Sorry if you think I'm teaching people to suck eggs.

The 3 strand twisted wire coil traps a lot of juice, so even if your wicking is not up to scratch, you shouldn't get a dry hit. Also cotton bacon takes a wee while to break in so give it a few tanks of vaping before you increase the power above 25 watts. 25 watts works really well for me.

Sorry for the long sermon but this tank does work well. I just had to spend some time discovering the best way to build it.
