Hey ECF,

So I have a question. I am tested and confirmed PG sensitive, as far as I can tell anything over 50 percent PG just tears me up.

So am I just consigned to customizable and high VG juices or do I have any options? Some of the best liquids I've tried have been PG heavy and it kills me to just scratch them off my list. Can I dilute the liquid with VG for example, or is this unfeasible/ineffective? Also any method that severely mutes the flavor would be pointless, as flavor is the reason I like these juices.

Thanks for any advice.

You can absolutely dilute with some VG, but you're going to dilute the flavor and nic content as well.

Sent from my phone, please excuse typos.

from what I can tell (and someone more knowledgeable should absolutely chime in) depending on the strength of the flavoring, it can range between 5-40% of total eliquid. Most flavorings are PG based, but there are a few lines that are 100% VG based or do something like Virgin Vapors where it's alcohol-based, right? (directed to people who know.)

As a side note, as you get more towards 100% VG, depending on your set-up, you might want to look into part distilled water/part VG. I've seen up to 30% distilled water, and 70% VG.

You can also vape unflavored VG and then just slowly start to lightly flavor it and go from there.

As far as diluting-- it's math, and as such, write it down so you don't make mistakes. If you need a certain nic level, buy a nic testing kit for like $16.

Say you have some 80/20 PG/VG in 15mL that is 36 mg nic. Pour that in a 50mL bottle (or 100, whatever-- just significantly larger) and then pour pure VG into the 15mL bottle to measure out equal parts. Then pour that into the larger 50mL bottle. You now have 40/60 PG/VG in 30mL that is 18mg. Put another way: 30mL-- half of which is going to be VG. so automatically, it's going to at least be 50% VG. Then you take the remaining half which is made up of the 80/20-- take both those numbers and divide it in half since you're diluting it that much 80 becomes 40 and 20 becomes 10. You already have 50% VG so add 10% to 50% and you get 60% VG, then you're left with 40% PG.

50/50 would then equal 25/50.

Of course, it can be a pain to do that when you're doing 65/35 and less easily dividable numbers, but still-- from that point you can add more VG and either add more flavoring on your part, or buy from a company that increases flavor-- so you're not weakening that too much. since you're not worried with nic, have you just thought of adding a bit of flavoring to some VG vapor and maybe some distilled water to thin it out and go from there?
