Disabling LED on dse-905

I just got a new DES 905 v4 "Screwdriver", and so far it's pretty cool. I get good vapor volume, even from a brand new atty, and it feels good and substantial in the hand. But there's one thing I really hate about it: the crazy bright LED around the atty junction. I feel like I'm getting a sunburn from the thing. There's almost no way to stealth vape without that thing calling out for attention. Is there any way to easily disable it?

Short piece of black heat shrink or black paint to cut down the light output a little.
The led is pretty important with that e-cig. Helps to know what's going on, but it doesn't have to be that bright.

Flip the battery end for end. It won't damage unit but does disable the LED.

Really? The electronics work in both directions?
Must have done some upgrading since the V2 and V3 I bought.

They even put plastic blocks in the nose to keep the negative end from making contact. Only a positive button would touch.
But gave up on them before V4 came out.

Never owned one but I did see a video of it, not sure which version though. I still say its worth a shot.

Most electronics have circuitry that has requirements for specific positive and negative inputs. Flipping the battery would prevent the circuit from working. Some units may not use this type of circuitry and the battery flip trick would work. So, it all depends on how they built yours.

Unless I knew for sure it would not KILL the 905 I don't think I would try it.
There is more than an LED inside that thing.
