I don't usually post this type of thing, but I am pretty disappointed. I want to make sure that anyone who reads this knows that my intention for this post is to gain information from people who are more familiar with these juices than myself.
Here's some of my background information in case it helps in some way to more fully understand where I'm coming from: I am somewhat new to vaping ,only having started about six months ago. I've tried flavors from three other online juice vendors. Of those vendors, one is a juice-on-demand type DIY vendor like Ms. T. I won't name these vendors because I don't want this to be a who's-better-than-who thing. I am using an eGo 510, with LR attys and CE2 ceramic cartos. Also, a 5v pass-through from Madvapes with standard attys. The flavors I ordered are at the end of this post.
I'm not really sure where to start.
The wait for the order was my fault because I did not read anything in this sub-forum, or the warnings on Ms. T's front page until a week had gone by without any sign of my order. My fault, though I will say that I placed the order on February 28, and received it today.
The first thing that I noticed about the juices themselves was that all of them seem to have an intensely pungent odor. I can't really describe it other than being overpoweringly sweet. The weird part of this is that the odor is the same for every flavor I ordered (except the Rose, which smells like lemons), and it doesn't seem to matter whether the caps are on the bottles or not. The bottles are all capped and in a box in a drawer in my desk, and I can still easily perceive the odor.
The smell isn't, itself, a wholly terrible thing, though my nose is already a bit fatigued by it. But, it gave me the false impression that I was about to be inundated with clouds of tasty vapor. The oddness of the pungent odor is compounded by the absolute lack of flavor in the juice when actually vaped. Maybe I built these flavors up too much in my mind. I feel that some of the problem may be the heat of the LR attys. I haven't tried any of the juices in a regular resistance atty yet, but I feel this may improve the flavor, and I will try and report what I find after I post this.
I get the feeling that the lack of flavor may partially be caused by the thinness of the liquids. All of them are much more thin than any other liquid I have seen thus far, even 100% PG liquids. I was under the impression that these were a PG/VG mix. Maybe PG exists in varying degrees of viscosity, but I hadn't imagined this before. The liquids are so thin that they will drip out of the bottles quickly enough to make it somewhat difficult to drop only two or three drops into a drip tip without spilling it or dropping way too much in. It is so thin that it seems to pass straight through my attys and puddle in the overflow ring of my batteries. Good thing they're sealed batteries.
I want to stress that I am not over-dripping and flooding the attys. With other liquids, I put about 4 or 5 drops in a freshly cleaned atty, and I usually puff on it two or three times, and add another drop or two depending on how it tastes. I find that this nicely primes the atty and I am able to drip normally afterward.
Of course, I'm hoping that these flavors will improve after some steeping, and also hopefully gain some viscosity. I will give them all a full chance again in a week or two.
Unless someone has some idea of something I may be missing. Am I the only one who has experienced these things? I guess it's so disappointing because Ms. T has such an amazing reputation. I really wanted to be blown away.
The flavors I ordered:
Mango Juice
Mandarin Orange
New Watermelon
BlueRaspberry
Orange Dreamsicle
New Marshmallow
Apple Pie a la Mode
Strawberry Lemonade
Rose Water (a test flavor)
Addendum to Ms. T, or anyone affiliated with her that may read this - Much love for all of your hard work and I congratulate you on your success with your e-juices! I am thankful that I was even able to test your flavors out, and I have high hopes that I will be fully wrong about this first impression. I am also aware of the unfortunate email issue, and, being and IT professional, I can fully understand the stress that this type of situation invokes. With this post I just wanted to be honest, and, like I said, I think I made this uncharacteristic post because I had such immense expectations.
Again, much love!
