I've looked at the Halo website and wanted to purchase their G6 Started Kit, but had some questions. First of all they do not list their phone number for some reason... Not sure why. But luckily I was able to find it and give them a call. Since I've been reading this forum for sometime, I know that some people are allergic to PG and/or VG. So I asked a lady a very simple question "What is the ratio of PG vs VG in their e-juice?" and was expecting a quick answer so I can proceed to order. But, instead she told me that this is proprietary information and she cannot give it to me. Then after I explained to her the reasoning for my question, that I need this info so that if I develop an allergic reaction, I'll know which one I need to reduce PG or VG. At that point she told me that she doesn't know what it is... So which one is it she doesn't know or it proprietary? Was seriously considering buying their kit, but if they can't answer this simple question that other companies like Bloog and Vaper4Life could and were were professional, not sure if I have to hold off. That lady seemed that she didn't even wanted to talk to me...

Did I get a bad rep. on the phone or this company has some customer service issues?

considering its a substance you put into your body that you might have adverse reactions too, one can only hope it was lack of knowledge on the CSR's part and is not proprietary information.

You may consider sending a PM to Cinder Ella, she's the CS Advocate here on ECF for Halo and knows everything in the universe, including the meaning of life. but she wont tell me that either.

Hi All,

Our ratio is proprietary and always has been and varies between the liquids. No one but the owners and the lab chemists are privy to the exact ratio. What we do have available to us is that they are all significantly higher in PG than VG, they do not contain alcohol or diacetyl and that each and every individual ingredient that goes into our liquids are USP grade and FEMA GRAS approved. Many people that have had reactions to lower quality ingredients and have assumed that it is PG or VG have not ended up having issues with our juices because of the quality standard but that is a chance that would be left entirely up to the individual. Our hardware works perfectly fine with most all known other brands of liquids including 100% VG liquids. All of this information is also available on our website.

@GhostR1der - Sorry to hear about your experience but it is both proprietary and unknown information to the rep.

Thanks for your quick response Cinder Ella. If you don't mind I got a few more questions.

1. Where is the heating element located on the G6 cartomizers?
2. How many drops of e-juice recommended per empty G6 cartomizer?
3. What is the tobacco flavor that will closely resemble Marlboro Red's?

1. Where is the heating element located on the G6 cartomizers? - The cartomizer is simply the combination of a cartridge and an atomizer into one unit, the heating element is completely contained within the cartomizer.
2. How many drops of e-juice recommended per empty G6 cartomizer? - Roughly 20 drops.
3. What is the tobacco flavor that will closely resemble Marlboro Red's? - As tastes vary so greatly we cannot recommend any particular flavor to duplicate an analog flavor exactly but many people say that Prime 15, Torque 56 and Tribeca or even a combination of a few liquids come close.

But is it in the middle of the cartomizer or on the bottom?

It's on the bottom, under the wicking material.

Tastes vary to be sure, but a 50/50 mix of Tribeca and Voodoo got me off the analogs. And my new favorite beer-drinking flavor is 50/50 mix of Prime15 and Turkish.

Welcome to the forums, and congratulations on considering HALO products. That being said, Halo IS a proprietary company, and for the most part, I like that about them... It's literally "one stop shopping". With so many choices out there, it can become quite confusing to one new to vaping and electronic cigarettes. Although I admire your caution, and in the spirit of "Caveat emptor", I can assure you that you should have no worries in purchasing any HALO products. HALO's CS has been VERY helpful to me, and has shown great kindness and understanding whenever I had a situation come up. Again, welcome, and happy vaping!

This question implies a predefined preference based on experience, and based on all your posts I don't see any such experience.

What are you trying to find out, exactly?

Quality of the product. The cheap cartomizers use heating element in the middle which tends to dry out the poly-foam saturated in e-liquid right by the heating element and then burn it before it can get saturated again. Cartomizers with heating element in the bottom do not have this issue, therefore you get an even utilization of the liquid as it can equally saturate the poly-foam.

Ghost, I heavily recommend that you get 2 mini tanks with your order. They are way better than the cartos, IMHO. You can see how much is left, the flavor and vapor are much more consistent. And the mini tank can be cleaned/rinsed to change flavors, something a carto is not good at.

Remember, your taste of an analog Marl Red is of burning leaves. These ejuices are going to be different. And I really wanted to find the ONE flavor, but now I accept that I'll have 4 or 6 flavors.

carto's are great for short travel stints and such, but i have to agree that a whole new world opened up to me with mini-tanks. the vast minutia of life exploded into my ocular senses. a swirling miasma of turgid sensations assault my olfactory processes, overwhelming my processing centers in sheer pleasure. prophetic visions appeared before me foretelling of times of peace in a utopia of flavor and sheer bliss among all mankind!

also, bacon tasted better. so i had that.

I am new to vaping (less than 6 months). I have several mods (6), equipment (50) and ejuices (35) and some of it Halo (Triton, G6, tanks, mini tanks, batteries, ejuices etc). I email Halo to death with every question I can fathom. They have never disapponted me. I have only dealt with half a dozen ecig businesses and can honestly say, the only issue I have had is delivery times. But Halo - love the products and customer service.

I smoked Marlboro lights and on occasion Reds.. torque 56 did the trick for me. It truly, IMO tastes like a real Marlboro. (Not menthol of course). After using this on my G6 then moved up to Triton/Triton tanks in a week (I prefer the bigger tanks) I never looked back to an analog again! THANK YOU HALO! They ship fast, one stop shop and no problems w/tanks, batts..it made the transition easier.

Good luck to you and everyone is here to help if you have any questions!

EDIT- plz keep in mind no ejuice will taste like a REAL cig. Ejuice doesn't contain 4000 killing chemicals like a cig does. Don't try to chase that Marlboro taste but rather find one that can satisfy the nico cravings. I went for 18 mg at first because I was a 1-1 1/2 PAD smoker.

Has anyone ever (back in their analog days) taken a drag off a cigarette and gone "WOW! That was delicious"? In 33 years I never did that but in 2 months with vaping Halo juice I keep doing it. I know I've said this before but I think it's worth repeating.

By the way, I'm not talkin bout falling off the wagon and getting that first smoke back in your system cos that's not delicious but merely a wonderful nicotine rush...big difference.

I guess that's one of the MANY reasons I'm loving vaping. I get great, varied flavors along with my nic and life couldn't be better :)

Well, i think e-juice is more akin to tobacco pipe. in that you find a flavor that tastes like it smells.

Tobacco flavored e-juice reminds me of aromatic pipes, little people with hairy feet being goaded by elderly wizards to venture into dangerous worlds. Or an old man with a bad comb over and a tweed jacket that only he can pull off; He's obviously smarter than you, his mahogany bent branch pipe and pr0nstache says so.

what are we talking aboot again?

When it comes to flavor as far as smoking was concerned, that is all out the window now. I'm vaping Halo menthol flavors, gourmet flavors and tobacco flavors and all are really good (some devilishly good )

Just like AngiBe, smoking isn't even a thought anymore and vaping is the only thing I've ever tried that worked 100% and I've tried a lot. I know some folks struggle with it after turning to vaping but honestly, in my mind (which is simple), it just doesn't compute. So I consider myself lucky in that regard.

Just like AngiBe, Triton, Torque56 and Prime15 (and the logic cigalike, my first) has kept me smoke free. Don't want nor do I crave a cig.

However...

I do remember several times taking a drag of an analog, and just lovin it. And that "Nicotine Rush" is memorable. And I remember the other 1,835 times I quit, had "just one", and fell (sometimes jumped) off the wagon.

For me, it's like an alcoholic that can't have even one drink. I know I'll like it, a lot. But, and this is big, I don't crave one, don't want one.
