I have no knowledge of who ships to Australia but I did a quick search on forums for "Australia" and some threads with some of your fellow Australians showed up. I would read some of those threads they mention a couple suppliers.

I am fairly happy with my Tornado/eGo battery life although a little bit more would be good. I get between 8-10 hours on that 650 mah. Just a bit more would cover me for an entire day. Not sure what your comfort level is on size of a PV but many of the mods are not all that big and accept more standard and cheaper batteries.

If I had it to do all over again I would have gone straight to a mod that accepts batteries inside the metal tube. Altsmoke "BB" or "SB" or both. BB 900 mah is about the size of a roll of nickels and uses 510 atomizers/carts standard and has adapters for other atty/cart combos. Best part is replacement batteries are like $5-7 US.

I'm stuck with my current gear and put a hold on more purchases but it is only a matter of time till I purchase a mod. I got over the small battery and size thing rather rapidly. Do research on the various options of which there are many. My biggest advice is patience so you don't overspend before settling in to the right device for you.

I agree with Scott EE. At first, I really wanted an e-cig that looked like a regular cig and was about the same size. After getting a 510, I also got tired of constantly charging batteries and went for a mod. I don't care how big it is now, as long as it WORKS! I got a Prodigy V2 from Puresmoker and I really love it. You get used to the size of it quickly and the batteries last for 6-8 hours.

You may want to get a pass-thru at first. It plugs into a USB port and constantly recharges itself. Great for working at a computer and you can get adapters that let you plug it in the car cigarette lighter.

Long, slow draws are very important too. Also, I think it is best not to directly inhale. Slowly draw the vapor into your mouth, then inhale. You get the best flavor and throat hit that way.

Good luck!

Oh yes I second the passthrough it is fairly cheap and wonderful when sitting at the computer or in front of the TV. I didn't get mine until about 20 days into my quit. It is all I use around the house now and only torture my batteries when I need the mobility.

I plug mine directly into an AC USB adapter though I read some folks had issues with usb ports frying out. Didn't want to risk it and the adapter was like 3 bucks.

I recommend the Kr8 (Kr808D-1) model with cartomizers for longer life between refills. You can get it from many different suppliers but I'm not sure who ships to Australia. My favorite supplier for this is LiteCigUSA.

The cartomizers (cartridge and atomizer combined into one unit) hold a lot more liquid than most cartridges. And the regular length batteries are 280 mAh which means they last for a while. When you decide what model you like you should also get a pass-through (works off of a USB port) and a PCC (charges batteries when you are away from home.)

I do like the 510 as well. It sounds as if that is the one you have. However the batteries don't last long at all. The cartridge isn't large, but several models have even smaller cartridges!

Be sure to read Wonderful World of Vaping! It will help answer bunches of your questions.

Good luck! :)

thanks so much guys, you are all fantastic!! i have no idea when i read about model numbers etc. i'm a visual person, so i need to see pictures of things. and yes... a pass through is a must. i recently purchased another battery and atomizer, but forgot the pass through. i have to make sure i get the best from my purchases, as shipping costs $42AU! that is madness. i am now using the teabag in the cartridges, and can honestly say i'm not sure i see any difference to that and the other stuff that was in them. and yes... it didn't take me long to figure that a long slow draw produces a much nicer experience. sheesh, i was sucking like a wild woman when i first got it..LOL. i'll keep looking around and see what else i can find. it's expensive to get started, but i really want to have enough supplies here to get me through. my aim is to kick the analogues altogether and having had only 2 yesterday, i feel i'm well on my way.
thanks again guys, without this forum i would not know what to do.

i think i'm having some success at last! i spent the afternoon perusing the wonderful world of vaping, as you suggested. brilliant info there! i ordered a 510 kit this morning. you may recall i said i couldn't find ANYTHING that stated what the ecig i am using now is...... i looked on the battery charger and it says JOYE510! LOL. not to worry, i figure i can't have too many, they will all get used. i feel if i don't have enough batteries, i might panic. ok, now the teabags.... this morning i used a teabag cart. i was still using it late this afternoon. great throat hit, plenty of vapor. i then topped up a cart that had the foamy kind of stuff in it. after about half hour it started to wane. so yes, i am now seeing the difference........... teabags are the go for sure. all day i've had great experiences with vaping. so much so, that i had not thought about an analog. decided to have one after dinner.... eew! i'm fairly positive they won't be hanging around here much longer. i have had 1/4 pack of tobacco left for the last 3 days. normally that would have been used within an evening. so glad i found vaping, and even more happy i found you guys to guide me along.
thanks again! :)

hi guineahill,

yes, it didn't take me long to realise what a great bunch of people you all are! i will be sticking around. this forum is so informative and you guys are so supportive. my hope is to one day be able to help someone as much as you guys have helped me. i think without you guys i may well have given up the vaping idea when i was having dramas with it. i'm probably not the first to say this, and won't be the last, but this is what i find i'm really enjoying at the moment, aside from the obvious health benefits.............. no tiny bits of tobacco and ash all over my desk. no stray bits of tobacco in my handbag and loose filters which have fallen from their packet. no digging around my handbag for my lighter. my smoke not constantly going out, especially whilst driving, no stinky ashtrays, no always worrying if i am offending someone or making them feel uncomfortable with the tobacco smell! i love the fact that i can have a few drags and simply stick my 'smoke' back in my pocket or on the table and walk away. just LOVE it! i am still having 3 analogs a day, just to keep the withdrawals from becoming too much and i'm having one now. can really taste the difference and much prefer vaping. can't wait until my new flavour juices arrive.
so thanks guys..... you all rock!
