Discerning Taste? Anyone else?

Silly question, perhaps, but I'm wondering if I'm the only strictly Mint (or one kind of flavor) vaper around!

I honestly only vape Mint based e-juices. Preferably with an icy kick to them. My faves being TKO DoubleMint (the only juice there I like), BetaMorph Bliss Blend and Halo Kringle's Curse. I keep testing out other flavors that I thought I would like, but they end up being either too waxy, perfumy, or they vape warm. I also don't like tobacco flavors, or menthol that tastes like medicine. I swear anything other than Mint gives me a headache or makes me kind of nauseated. Anyone else like this? I see so many people vaping all these flavors that sound awesome, but I just can't handle them myself! Feels a bit limiting, but thankfully there are some really awesome Mint juices out there. :?:

When I first started vaping a little over a year ago, I didn't like anything accept Atlanta Peach Leaf by Namber juice, after about 3 months or so I started to vape other juices and when back an tried others that I had not liked before and now I use 3 or 4 different flavors every day all day. I think over time as my taste buds came back after smoking for 31+ years, I started to really enjoy different flavors.

I'm hoping that will be the case with me. I smoked for 25 years - My taste buds are certainly going through an adjustment period, and I'm hoping my newly acquired, ultra sensitive sense of smell eases up at some point. I'd love to be able to vape different flavors.

My bottle out of the b&m was 70/30 with peppermint. That is still my all day. Different flavors are great, but I find myself always going back to my standby. I bought a bottle of mint flavoring to add to some of the juices to cool them down a bit. I'm still drawn to the "refresh" on my tongue.

Well, I gave up quick and went to flavorless, I didn't appreciate all the overtones either. I like the idea of mint tho- used to suck on Tic-tacs all day when I smoked.

I smoked Menthols when I was smoking analogs, mostly because I liked to smoke, but didn't like the flavor of tobacco. I even smoked Camel Menthols because they had that little extra menthol cartridge in the filter that you could pop for more mintiness! I thought I'd be able to vape all kinds of different flavors, but yeah, so far it's not happening. I haven't tried flavorless though. I'm not even sure why I didn't think of that before!

That's where I'm at. Got my DoubleMint at a B&M and that's my standard vape. I usually change to the Bliss Blend at night (it's like vaping an altoid, so I usually vape that when my taste buds start going outta whack), or Kringle's Curse if I want more of a peppermint, but the base flavor is always Mint. I have a good 20 bottles of other flavors lying around, but it's always right back to the mints for me! I hadn't thought of adding some mint flavoring to other flavors. I'll have to try that and see if it opens up my options a bit more. Thanks!

Oh and I should add to, depending on the device/atomizer you are using, I have found that some juices are great in one device and crap in another. I use a wide range of Bottom coil tanks, Rebuild able Tanks and Dripping atomizers. From Nautilus BDC to kuyfun RBT to Atomic RBA to mention a few.

Right now I alternate between bottom coils and DCT's. I'm trying to narrow down an RBA/RBT option though. Keep hearing the Kayfun is awesome - same with the Nautilus and Russian 91%. Going to be working on learning how to build my own coils, etc over the next week or so.

I didn't used to vape only mints but lately that seems to be the trend. I started with Dr Pepper flavors, then I moved onto berries and lemonades, then I started getting into the mint/menthols and I really love them currently. Everything else seems very harsh. I do have a few fruits that I like but it's always back to the mints.

Same for me. I have such a discerning palate that I can't vape any flavor for more than an hour...so it's flavorless for me all day everyday.

I'm curious, is flavorless e-liquid tasteless? I've read that VG has a slight sweet taste so I'm just wondering.

Also wondering... can you tell the difference between two different vendor's flavorless e-liquid?

I mix my own. I buy high nic (60mg) in 100% PG. Then I add PG from Tractor Supply and VG from Walmart to my desired level (7mg and 70%PG/30%VG). VG is slightly sweet and you get the taste of nicotine. For me it's the closest thing to what I remember smoking to taste like. The best thing is that it's obscenely cheap...like $1.00-$2.00 per 30 mil.

That's how I am - always back to the mints, although I can't seem to vape any other flavors for more than a few minutes.

I feel so much better knowing that I'm not alone with only being able to vape certain flavors! I swear, all my friends come over toting a huge box of all different flavors, and here I am, with just my Mints!

This makes me wonder if I could do the same, but add some menthol and have it taste like a menthol analog. Going to have to give that a try!

Mint is my very favorite too (hence my screename). Call me weird, but I love to vape my peppermint e cig, sucking on a peppermint Mento while I am driving. It makes me happy.

Love it! I find myself vaping my DoubleMint while sucking on an altoid or a mint tic tac when I drive (something about mints and driving?)! Can't handle a mint with the Bliss Blend though, since it's sooooooo incredibly minty alone!

My mancave
I'm almost a "one flavor vaper". The first time I mixed 9 parts Halo's Menthol ICE with 1 part SubZero, I found heaven. I call the mix "Freezing Rain" (that's how I identify it with the labels I print and put on my bottles, anyway, to keep them all straight).

Occasionally, when I get a taste for some real ....-kicking mint or menthol, I'll vape a bit of Kringle's Curse or straight SubZero. If I have a cold, or just sinus congestion, I'll vape some SubZero from my G6 mini-tank, and it clears me up significantly in just a few minutes. Amazing stuff. (I'm still looking forward to branching out beyond Halo's e-liquids soon, though.)

That sounds like a great mix! I'll have to try it! The only Halo I have currently is Kringle's Curse, which I LOVE! Betamorph Bliss Blend is my sinus clearing vape, which has been handy lately since it's allergy season here. I have to watch my wattage on that one! It's like an altoid on steroids!
