What kind of Ego? 650 mah? lower? higher? Some have a longer or shorter charge life to begin with and it would depend on light or heavy use but....

My 650mah ego twists are usually set around 4.0 and if I sit here dripping and chain-vaping, [and switching back and forth between 2 setups because the 2.0 ohm attys get too hot after a several drags in a row so let one "cool" while vaping the other]
... they last about 4-6 hours before I recharge them. My fast chargers have them up and ready in a 2-3 hours though. I alternate between 4 of my favorite colors lol and keep 4 other colored batts fully charged to use while my dead ones are charging. I have backups for my backups :D

I recently had to use my Ego backups and while they would fire my 1 ohm coil, it didn't seem to get as hot or give me nearly the power of my mechs, so I was wondering if anybody knows what the discharge rate is.

Wait. You've been a member since 2009, and you're saying that you're using a 1Ω coil on an eGo?

1.) No matter what capacity eGo I'm amazed you haven't popped the protection at 1 ohm.

2.) No matter what capacity eGo I'm amazed it has vented. It hasn't vented yet, has it?

Don't do that. Without running the numbers further, eGo class batteries aren't made for devices below 2.0 ohms. You might get away with 1.8 or even 1.5 without popping the protection circuit - you might. But if you aren't blowing the protection circuit you will be drastically shortening the overall life span of the battery.

Based on what ive read, i believe standard egos have an amp limitation of ~2.5a.

Assuming you're using a 1.0ohm coil on a freshly charged, (non regulated) ego, thats putting you @ nearly a 4.1amp draw on that ego.

In other words as mentioned above, don't do it.

Those numbers are consistent with Phil Busardo's review of the Twist: Twist Voltage chart

3.7Volts on a 1.5ohm coil works out to ~2.5 amps and ~9.1 watts.

Personally I don't see the upside of anything less than about 2ohms on an eGo.

I agree it wasn't the brightest move, but it was a desperation situation. This happened when My V-mod was away for warranty replacement and before I got my Reo. I had forgotten to change coils on my RBA before I left the house so it was vape that setup or not vape. Not vaping was not an option with the way things were going at work that day. I knew the discharge rate was low, but I didn't realize it was that low
