I typically don't vape where smoking's not allowed, except for a few places:
- My house
- Sports field, watching my kid from the stands, I'll take some puffs - no one ever noticed
- Hotel room
- the occasional bathroom

I know some do, but I don't find a need to even worry anyone by vaping in a supermarket, or restaurant...

All my flavors are flamboyantly smelly, but they're always so good smelling no one minds. I don't vape around kids, and I don't vape inside public places. There's a few exceptions, but it's just logical thinking when to vape inside a public place. If it's outside and the sign says 'no smoking,' I'm not smoking. I'm vaping.

When I first started vaping I felt like a freak puffing on my mods in front of others but then after awhile I just didn't care any longer. I vape at my desk at work. No one seems to care but many people were like..."... is that?" and I have to admit I get tired of explaining it now.

I've managed to get 3 people so far to vape instead of smoking so I must be some sort of positive role model. :)

I try not to vape in places where I might bother someone. I never do it while eating out out of respect but i do vape in stores when I feel the need. Stealth vaping is a must when out and about for me. Mainly because my wife doesn't like it. lol

It does put off a smell but its always good if you vape fruity juice like I do.

I'm still fairly new to the vaping in public experience so it's kind of a shameful feeling like "OOOOhhhh I'm gonna get in trouble, better hide it!" Especially since my setup looks like a tool for smoking something else. But i'll take the occasional vape walking around walmart when I find myself in an empty Aisle. Haven't had any trouble from it. But there's a handful of vapers in this middle of nowhere no mans land town and they vape in walmart too or so I've been told. I haven't run into them yet though.

People are always going to complain about something. I try to be considerate around children and i dont vape inside public areas but if its outside i dont care i know i am not hurting anyone and most of the tome if someone asks and you explain to them they end up being fine with it and even better, they end up interested.

I was at a friends and was happily vaping a chocolate flavor. All of a sudden his youngest child (about 5 or 6) runs at me and assaults me looking for the chocolate that he could smell from across the house. I was more surprised than anything else that he could smell it ... well that and the flying leap he took at me screaming CHOCOLATE!!!

Lol

I vape anywhere so long as no kids are around. If someone has an issues they will say it. Most will look but not say anything if they do its typically "what is that" which starts a conversation.

Second Hand Vapor - Project:Vape

Study Results
As the study has been completed and a professional doctoral review completed, I’m proud to announce that the results are better than we could have anticipated. In short, there is NO harm found in exhaled vapor from electronic cigarettes. The most exciting results I found is that testing did not detect any nicotine in the exhaled vapor. Now, you may ask why I find this exciting. Well, my excitement is on two levels. 1) This means that the human lung absorbs most if not all of the nicotine which has long been questioned within the global electronic cigarette community; and 2) This also means no nicotine was detected in the ‘second-hand vapor’. All other substances measured for electronic cigarettes were FAR below allowable levels for human inhalation according to the FDA. In fact, the levels were so low that it proves it is more hazardous to your health to breath the air in any major downtown metropolitan city during heightened times of driving.

I invite you to review the study yourself and draw your own conclusions. If you are in the medical or scientific fields, please take the invitation to review the report in detail and let me know if you draw a different conclusion. If you prefer to wait for the full doctoral paper, we anticipate the full peer reviewed release of this paper to occur near the end of July 2012.

Pretty much the same here. I vape wherever I want to with no shame, BUT with the same courtesy I always extended to other people when I smoked analogs and pipes. If other people are present, I tell them what they are and ask them if they mind FIRST. Nobody has ever refused or complained. So I have vaped freely at the airport, in federal buildings, etc. Most folks have asked for more information about them, have family/a friend they'd like to see get off the analogs. So it turns into a positive conversation and opportunity to promote PV's. I had an appointment with my VA doctor earlier this week that I hadn't seen since way before I stopped smoking analogs. He invited me to vape during the exam/visit and asked for information that he could pass on to his smoking patients to get them to look into it as well. I've forwarded it to him via email. I've never seen a sign prohibiting them anywhere, so I don't look for "smoking areas". If in doubt, I simply ask first. You may be pleasantly surprised to see how many places, how many people will give you a green light with a smile - and how many will thank you for your courtesy.

Places I love to vape:
Gun ranges
Archery ranges
Fishing
Dog walking
Car
Office (at home)
Golf courses

Places where I don't vape:
Indoors if I wouldn't have smoked a cigar
Outdoors if I wouldn't have smoked a cigar

Basically, I vape where I used to smoke a cigar (plus in my home office and car), and the people I'm around like the vape a lot more than the cigar smoke.

Before I started vaping, a guy I knew would vape in crowded indoors social situations and I found it to be obnoxious. Besides the stink eye that he got from the straights, his vapor had a chemical odor that was not great. When I started vaping, I assured my wife I wouldn't be that guy.

Eventually vaping will be more universally understood, but until then I don't mind keeping it subtle.

I am with Spydro, when entering a new establishment, My local casino for example I ask security if there is a problem and they have always told me no they do not mind. That being said I do not blow large clouds in the air, I hold for a few to let it dissipate. Gamestop has no problem but I do not do it in restaurants
