I order from Pink Spot Vapors and Halo Cigs and have never had any off tasting e-liquid. My husband vapes tobacco flavors and I like sweet and fruity. We Vape....

Pink Spot Vapors:
Black Mamba
Gummy Bear
Peach Pit Tobacco
Honey Cured Tobacco
Choco Loco Tobacco

Halo:
Tribeca

You can check out the flavor reviews here: E-Liquid Reviews

Vaping Pink Spot Black Mamba right now. New bottle, filled my CartoTank right when I got home. Yummy. yummy!

Now juice from other vendors? They need to steep a while before they stop tasting like soap. :)

Thanks for the comment about steeping - I hadn't tried or even heard of doing that. I feel silly Will test it out!

If you had seen the look on my face the first day of my first e-juice arriving you would so stop feeling silly. I was appalled that anyone thought that tasted good! I was very worried this whole vaping thing was done before it started. I was lucky I had some menthol that was alright first day. Two weeks later that dire stuff tasted so lovely I couldn't believe they had been the same stuff. It was a chocolate/coffee blend that really needed time to get blended. I've got one mix that is several pre done juices mixed with a drop of tobacco that still smells like perfume 3 weeks later. Patience stinks but some times it turns out to be essential.

Do a search on steeping. There are loads of threads and suggestions to speed steeping up. But don't be disappointed if they don't fix things right away. I sat my unvapable chocolate coffee liquid in hot water 4 times and still had to wait those 2 weeks.

Yeah steep it with the lid off until the perfume smell goes away, and then with the lid on until it smells delicious.

Blends and "signature flavors" might have floral flavors added, and for now you might want to stick with single-flavor juices. And even then, trial and error might be called for. Watermelon always tastes perfumy to me, for some reason.

But there are "less perfumy" vendors. Mount Baker isnt one of them, although to be fair, their fluid is made to order and it doesn't take too long to steep.

Heathers purity line is worth a look.

Alice in Vapeland is awesome, not perfumy at all, except for Cherry Blossom, which is an explicitly floral flavor.

Reading through a lot of posts, I have found many get a chemical taste while vaping. Is this due to the delivery system they are using, their particular sense of taste, or bad/cheap juice? I've tried a lot of juices, albeit from just 3 vendors, and have never had this issue. I have steeped super-sweet juices, as they mellow out for me, but nothing like a chemical taste.

Had a few perfume chemy taste a few times but it was def cause batch musta been just made I let steep a month and they were great. Another time I had awesome juice but after few months taste totally changed to be kinda vinagerish not sure what happened but 2 diff fkavour a from same vendor did that after like 4 months. Must be our taste pallet changes and or steeping will make it better or in some cases worse. Also find taste is soo subjective I've tried stuff people say its great and I was disgusted and some flavores I tried people say where mediocre and I loved them. Go figure

I think it is mostly sense of taste. For the vast majority of people PG is a flavorless though slightly sweet component. For a few unlucky people it has a very strong and unpleasant flavor that could be called chemical. For some of us we can blot out that taste if it is a small enough percentage but I suspect that there are some super tasters who can't tolerate much at all before the taste is bad. PG content has nothing to do with the quality of the liquid and for most people the liquid will taste totaly different than the few who can really taste the PG.

PG taste a different issue from some flavors needing steeping times of more than a few days before they loose the perfume scent and taste. Even low/no PG liquids may need steeping for the flavors to mature. It will depend on the amount of flavorings and the type of flavors as to how long the liquid needs. Long steep times are also no indication of quality because some of the most popular liquids need a month to fully mature.

Virgin Vapor ... I'm lucky in that a local vape shop carries the Virgin Vapor line and so I've been able to try many of their flavors. So far I've been impressed by just about all of them -- no chemical taste, no fake-trying-to-be-something-it's-not flavoring. Oddly enough I didn't much care for the very popular Organic Best Damn Tobacco -- it had a bit of "green" flavor in it that was just not my thing. My favorite still remains Organic Kona Coffee Milkshake.

Vermillion River .... They give out a free sample! You just pay 2.50 for shipping. And, you can also add two 2.00 samples to your order without the shipping cost going up any. I've tried the Game Night (and I just reordered a 30ml bottle of it!) and their Classic Tobacco ... both are smooth, wonderful tasting tobaccos. The Game Night is a much deeper, darker flavor (which I prefer as I'm not into sweet stuff). Whereas the Classic is lighter, with just a hint of sweet. I actually loved the two of them mixed together.
Both were great right out of the mailbox, but steeping made them even better.

I posted a similar thread about a week ago about a bitter taste from DIY. I never mentioned a supplier's name in my post but it was also MFS. I have been vaping for less than 2 months and just started DIY a little over a week ago. All of my supplies except for my VG came from MFS, and since it was my first attempt at a DIY juice, I thought it was just me.

The juice I made tasted funny and seemed to have a citrusy taste. Since I read so much about steeping, I accounted it to being that. I let it sit for a week and still no better. A couple days after making that batch, I read somewhere about Walmart's VG causing a bad taste in juices. I tasted it and it did have a sweet but very slightly bitter taste to it so I decided to make another batch from straight PG.

Since I had tasted the raw VG from my fingertip, I thought it was only fair to do the same with raw PG. When I did, I immediately got one of those "I just bit into a raw lemon" faces. In replies to my post, I was told that some people can taste the PG strongly and can get this effect. What I thought was funny was that my store bought juices didn't taste like that and I could tell by their density, they had more PG than VG.

Anyhow, decided to order a few other flavors and some empty bottles so I could sample more. I ordered it from ecigexpress and decided to give their base juice a try. I ordered 1 liter of 50/50 PG/VG and it just came in today. I put on my mad scientist gear and decided to do a few mixes. In the process, I decided to taste the raw PG/VG from them. To my surprise, it was basically tasteless, other than a touch of sweet to it. I am telling you, this is nothing like the bitter taste I got from the MFS PG.

The unflavored nic juice I got from MFS was also 100% PG. It also has a bitter taste but I didn't know if it was just the nic in it or if they cut it with their own PG. The next time I place an order for PG and unflavored nic, I will try another supplier and see if their nic also has this taste.

Is it possible for a supplier to get a batch of bad PG and they not realize it? If so, that could also explain why yours has a chemical taste. From what I understand, they do mix their own juices in house. BTW, I am not trying to criticize their products or anything like that. I have nothing but good things to say about the speed of the order I placed with them or the quality of everything else.
