My situation:
I own two Provaris. I have been analog free for a month. I don't even miss them except for like three or four times when I got a craving.

The Dilemma:
I'm going to Las Vegas in three weeks. I would, of course, like to vape in the bathroom of the airplane and stealth vape in the airport. I don't necessarily have to do this, but I want to. I need a different device that doesn't resemble a pipe bomb. Also, I've taken the Provaris to work and they've fallen out of my pocket when I've leaned back in my char. No one noticed, but still, not good....

The Solution:
The Screwdriver MKII or the Tornado. I really like how the Screwdriver looks, but I'm concerned about having to buy the batteries from TW exclusively. batteries make me nervous because I am only 3/4 informed on how to keep them from exploding. I'm going to Las Vegas in three weeks and I'm pretty sure my Provaris will draw attention I'm not looking for. Additionally, I'm not sure if they'll even let me in the night clubs with them. Plus, I need to have something to use during 24+ consecutive hours at the poker table. I could buy like five Tornado batteries with the cartomizers/clearomizers/tankomizers or I could buy the Screwdriver MKII.

Info: I was a pack and a half day smoker and regularly vape 5ml+ of juice a day...

I am having such a hard time making a decision. I just don't want to waste over a hundred dollars on something that sucks. And keep in mind that I am accustomed to a VV Provari.....

Suggestions? Advice? Personal experiences? All are appreciated! :vapor:

Well, personally I'd lean toward the SD. You don't have to buy your replacement batteries only from TW, it's just an 18350, but the TW ones you can be assured that they will fit, unlike with some brands. Some protected 18350s won't fit due to the protection circuit making them a little larger (Ultrafires I can confirm firsthand will not fit, they're a tiny bit too thick at the bottom end), but I've used flat-top IMR 18350s with no problems

Another benefit of the SD is that it's an unregulated device. Tornado batts (just like their eGo counterparts) are regulated to 3.3-3.4 volts, so for the first two thirds or so of an SD battery's life it will actually give a little bit higher output. Whether this is really a benefit is all down to personal preference, of course

Size-wise, the SD is about the same as a Tornado batt, just a little thicker in the middle. Not having an LED makes it slightly stealthier, too

Anyway, there's my :2c: and my reasonings for it ;-)

I'd suggest a tornado batt and some low res attys. I've flown in and out of Vegas probably 20 times for work since I started vapping with everything from 510s to a screwdriver to two different generations of prodigys and most recently with a Reo grand and have never had a problem. My favorite is a tornado/ego because it easily fits in a pocket and is ideal to stealth vape in the airport. I usually pack all my kit in my carry on and just have an ego or two in my pocket with a 10ml of liquid. I've never been bugged or hassled.
