I have been vaping awhile now and I know the unknown is vaping flavorings especially custards with the 3 bad chems ..truth be told i no longer buy vendor made juices due to the high flavoring and unknown ingredients additives used..flavorings were not meant to be inhaled even natural flavorings can be bad for lung tissue..thus resulting me to diy unflavored high vg mix and it's actually quite nice so I can mix up a good flavor for that couples times a day when something tasty is a plus..I figured why I can't settle on an ADV and it's because most any one flavor will get old some faster than others and I found vaping unflavored 80% of the time keeps less flavoring chemicals in my lungs and makes those flavors I enjoy even better when I do vape them..diy is the cheapest and best way to vape IMHO and this is coming from someone vaping for two years and been through many many high end juices..yes I like those flavors..yes I like the nice bottles and marketing..but why vape expensive flavors all the time I don't know what's in them I like having control over what's in my juice and I found I can mix juice just as good if not better than some high end juices...(by the way custard lovers the new capellas vanilla custard v2 which has no acetoine diacetyl or acetyl propionyl is very good)..I'm not convincing any one to follow what I do I just feel safer vaping unflavored most of the time until the unknowns are figured out..I never thought I would go the unflavored route but it's such a nice change of pace and very cost effective you could even mix a low percent flavor if you dont like the neutral taste to give you a little flavor..just some food for thought would like some opinions and feedback..after all we're in for the nic right..by the way if you diy check out bullcityvapor they are fantastic got my order to me in less than 24 hours regular shipping got shipped notification within an hour of placing order with tracking

I am pretty new to this, but I mostly agree with you. Regarding flavorings, it seems to be pretty well accepted around here that you do assume some additional risk with flavored vs. unflavored juice. Of course there is risk with just about anything you do; a piece of paper could kill you under certain circumstances. So each of us must decide for ourselves what is an acceptable level of risk for the things we want to do. If you are going to vape and want to take as little risk as possible, no matter how slight, unflavored juice is the best route, IMO, but that does not mean that there is no risk. And really, if unflavored juice fully meets your needs, why use anything else?

But we often want to be pleased by the things we do, not just have our needs met. I would be a lot healthier if I ate only healthy foods, but I love eating fatty, sweet, salty, spicy, and exotic/strange foods. I know the risks, but sometimes I do it anyway. And people vary widely in the amount of gratification they need in their lives. Some folks seem to trudge along without much obvious gratification and do OK, others will go crazy quickly without something to break the monotony and give them some kind of boost.

I think a lot of people who vape have to work really hard to not smoke; the temptation is always there, and you know it will feel good for a little while when you do it. So for me, using the flavored stuff part of the time, as you describe doing, helps me resist that urge. And I consider that a fair trade, because I know that smoking will kill me and/or really screw up my health big time. I can't say that I know for a fact that vaping won't, but for me the choice is like deciding whether to walk through a sketchy part of town, or walk out into traffic on the freeway.

BTW, using paragraph breaks and punctuation will make your comments more fun to read, in my opinion. I hope that does not offend you.

I agree..like I said I'm not telling anyone this is what they should do..it's just what I do as part of my decision in te process..I like flavors but I've decided to keep the for times wheni need a break for unflavored or when I jus have that urge for something else..vaping flavored all the time could very well the biggest risk as I see and I found vaping flavors all the time I get urges for somethin more resulting in smoking an occasional analog only to be disgusted and disappointed as opposed to vaping unflavored and reaching for a good flavor when I need that something more and I feel more rewarded after vaping unflavored than going from flavored to an analog for fulfillment..just my opinion..like I said to me flavors all the time will eventually leave you wanting more..you'd be surprised how much you enjoy those spontaneous flavor drags after vaping unflavored all day which is good to me because flavors seem to be that big ???? Right now
