I know you can order VG, PG and Nic separately but Mt. Baker sells a liquid that is premixed to your specifications and I'm starting with a 50/50 18mg solution. I ordered an 8 oz bottle, a number of flavors and a sweetener. I know this is going to save me a lot of money, as long as I don't screw stuff up and have to end up trashing any batches. I'm pretty confident that I can calculate the correct mls equal to the percentagese with the base and the flavor and I am planning to just pick up an oral syringe for measuring them. Given that the base solution is premixed, this should be a fairly simple process for a DIY first timer. Are there any tips anyone wants to throw my way?

even if you scrap batches its still cheaper lol
start with 5ml batches as testers so your not wasting alot of juice
realize youre going to end up with less than 18mg nic once you add flavor(wont be too far if your flavor % is low)
maybe read all the stickies( i hate saying that lol)
i have personally learned the most from the flavor apprentice thread here in the diy section start from the the begining and end at the end its a long read but very informative

Aren't 5ml batches pretty difficult to do? I mean if something only takes a small percentage of flavor, I'm going to need insulin syringes for measurement...? I don't mind less nicotine though...

I mix from 100 mg nic (1 liter for $50 from RTSVapes.com ) so my "test" batches are 20 ml... Easier to get the percentages correct in larger batches in my opinion... and if (when) I do screw up I can just trash the 20 mls and it only costs me about 50 cents for the screwup.

i would also suggest 5ml batches with no nic to test em out lol not to waste nic but im also a no nic vaper its more of a hobby and a pleasure to vape and mix and rebuild

Just getting through a fraction of what I recommended will prepare you and help you make your fist mix. I do understand all to well the busy lifestyle. But just a little reading will actually save you time in the long run by helping you avoid some of the pitfalls and mistakes that take time to correct.
