I'm vaping homebrew Mocha just now - - -
10% nic
8% chocolate
4% coffee
1% butter

Chocolate and butter from concentrates, the coffee I made myself - - -
about 3tbsp of Folgers instant in 2ml of pg/vg (50/50).

Will likely make a st8 coffee when that's depleted.

Hmmm, I may have to try that Folgers trick. Will 3tbsp completly disolve in 2ml juice, or do you have to strain it before use?

Who's choc and who's butter?

Choc & butter are from LF. Start with any quantity instant you like and add vg/pg until it's desolved thoroughly. No straining required.

Seriously??? I'll have to try this with Starbuck's Via! Are you using this with an atty and if so does it gum it up?

I've vaped ~10ml in a standard 510 atty dripping on a pt. So far no observable gumming. I clean my atty's weekly in 90% iso - they last "forever" if kept clean, 5-8 weeks easily.

OK. So I tried the Starbucks Via in 25 ml of 50/50. It was way thick and still not completely dissolved. I dripped some of it just to see and it did not vape very well. Didn't really taste like coffee either. I will try it again with all PG and see what happens.

While conducting that little experiment, I got thinking.....Via is made from microground coffee and may not be as soluble as regular instant coffee since traditional instant coffee is actual brewed coffee that has been dehydrated.

Experiment #2 consisted of 1/2 pack of Taster's Choice Columbian Gourmet instant coffee, 10 ml PG and 5 ml VG in a glass bottle. I added the PG 2 ml at a time and set the concoction in a warm bath, shaking it up occasionally. At 10 ml everything seemed to be dissolved. Dripped a little to see what it tasted like, and decided it was too acidic so I added a squirt of TV sweetener. Seems to be OK now, but it does not taste like a cup of coffee. Still, it's better than the TPA Coffee Clear I bought. So, I'm going to let this sit until this weekend sometime and see what happens. I'll post again with the results.

Ok, so, theoretically, one could brew a pot of anything and boil it down to a super thick gel if not all the way to powder. Perhaps even a food dehydrator would work (to avoid burning it).

I haven't had much luck with making my own coffee flavors with regular grounds but I haven't tried instant. I'll have to see how that tastes. Just some fyi on dissolving, if you stick vg in the microwave for a few seconds, it heats nicely and turns a very thin watery consistency. Much quicker for projects like this.
