I'm not a re-coiling virgin any more.

8 turns of 0.2mm Kanthal on a blunt needle, wicked with cotton wool. 2.3 ohms
Since it was so small I doubled over both ends, flavour-wick style.

It works, it tastes great, but it gurgles like crazy. What should I do to stop that? The first time I blew into it to clear it, and the cotton was all dragged inside, whereupon it leaked horribly of course. I'm thinking maybe I need a larger coil to carry more cotton.

voidness
when you finish wicking it, and the head is fully assembled, including the rubber grommet that sits on top of the grooves, give it a good inspection, see if the cotton is covering the side grooves, much like the stock coils would. unless you are using really thick juice, avoid having any spaces there. if there are visible spaces, roll one or two small pieces of cotton into flavor wicks and place them on top of the coil.

what I am trying to say is that you need the find the sweet spot for your wicks. too much and it will give dry hits, too little and it will gurgle. and I also find that I sometimes need to adjust my inhale to have the best results on a given build.

hope this helps, and congrats on your first coil!
