You used 15% and it's still coming up short? You may need to use PG, as it transfers a throat hit better, thus getting flavor to your throat better. I have no facts to support this, just based on what I've seen from other's. Try 20/80 Pg/VG in a new batch. If that doesn't work, maybe you've begun to suffer vapers tongue. Look into that. No sense throwing your juice away if your taste buds are the real issue.

Hope you can solve your problem. :) welcome to the world of DIY!

PG might be the answer. I'm going to let it steep for a week or so and see if it changes. I'm pretty sure it isn't vapors tongue though since the ejuices from vendors that I'm using hasn't seemed to change. Your help is much appreciated.:)

Definitely give it a steep. I use TFA and DIY as well and that steep is when it happens. I would think the 10% would get pretty strong with a steep and the 15% should get WHAM flavor. LOL

Hope the flavors come through!!!

(I dont do blueberry - so I cant comment on that one directly - but if you go to the DIY section under general e liquids here there is a TFA thread with percentages for all of the flavors put together by other DIYers :) )

I started with TFA's Blueberry Xtra and seem to be getting a very muted taste.
I'm in the same boat.
I used TFA Blueberry Extra at 11%, and there is absolutly not one berry in it.
Yes ... it steeped 4 weeks.
I'm trying another company for the next batch

I mixed it with a little CAP's Cinnamon Danish Swirl, and all I got is a mild soft cinnamon flavor.
I like cinnamon, so it's not a loss, just a big let down ... I wanted Blueberry
I'll keep trying until I find one that has some flavor, and TFA can go into a batch of muffins or ice cream !

Blueberry Ice Cream sounds good! There is a very miniscule blueberry taste at 15% but nothing like I was expecting.

Well, that doesn't sound promising ... that's the percentage I was going to try next

I'm used to Flavor West having weak flavorings, but I like Moo Juice from Mt Baker, and they flavor with FW
I can taste the Blueberry is their juice, and it's made with a known "weak" flavor.

I use a lot of TFA, and this is the worst batch I'v'e gotten yet for lack of flavor.
It's not the PG, as I use 70pg/30vg.
And ... there's nothing wrong with my tongue, I can taste all the rest of my juices.

Some people tell you that using to much flavor will mute it, but since you made a batch at 5%, (started low, and went higher), that kind of kills that theory.
I know (from insider) that companys go as high as 30% making their juices, but I think I'm just going to try a differnt brand of flavoring, and see what happens.

Yep blueberry ice cream is GOOD .. so is caramel

Hello :) I DIY VG e liquids all the time. PG doesn't agree with me, so I avoid it. Tried lots of tricks to get the flavor to pop, and didn't have much luck. Soooo I just use a lot of flavoring, and avoid having to thin with vodka or water. All my liquids are made in 30 mL batches and I have the amounts memorized. Try subbing with more flavor. Sometimes I still have to thin with water, but that rides on how concentrated the flavorings are.

I'm also relatively new to DIY liquids. I go all VG due to an allergy. At first, I was trying 10-15% and getting that sweet bitter taste of the VG with just a hint of my flavorings. On a frustrated whim, I tried 30% and that was the trick that I needed. I've found 25% works, but 30% makes for the best flavorings, but 35% gets a bit overwhelming.

I usually stick to the fruit flavorings if that's of any help.

Yep .. you get a chance to talk with an insider like I did, and that's the percentages they are using to make what we buy.
It's a good thing I have some high nic base I can use, as that much flavoring added really dilutes the juice.

Think I'll give that Blueberry another chance, and add a whole bunch of flavoring
I'll also add a drop of lemon juice.
I do that with a few others.
It changes the PH, and makes the fruit flavors "pop"
I can always dilute it back down again.

Another thought ... I always steep about 4 weeks, and I'm wondering it it's one of the flavors that tastes better fresh.
Anyone tried it fresh.
I know that some of the flavors "fade" fast, and maybe I didn't get to it in time ??
