Hello all,

I use V4L batteries and cartos and initially purchased their e-juices. At $11.00 and higher per bottle of 30ml juice I decided to make my own. I really liked their "Cowboy" flavor but had a hard time making my own version. I started off by buying nicotine solution and the rest of the basic accessories from Wizard Labs (great company by the way).

Wizard Labs carries flavors made by "The Flavor Apprentice" and "LorAnn Flavors". I wasn't too stoked about Lorann flavors due to an aftertaste that seemed to accompany most of their flavors. On the other hand, I really fell in love with "The Flavor Apprentice" flavors and tend to buy all my flavors from him/her.

Anyway, here's a recipe that parallels the other "Cowboy" very well:

This is a 30ml (technically it produces 27ml so adjust to your liking) mix:

5.8ml of VG.
11.0ml of PG.
7.2ml of nicotine (100mg base).
1.0ml of TFA Toasted Almond flavoring.
2.0ml of TFA Absolute tobacco flavoring.

I use this trusty little e-cal I found on the Internet: eJuice Recipe Calculator

I like the flavor and the TFA Absolute is already diluted and clear in appearance. I have noticed that the Absolute can be a cart killer (when I was using 6.0ml of Absolute!) but since taking it down to 2.0ml to create my own version of "Cowboy" I expect longer cart life.

Try the recipe, I think you'll be pleased with the flavor. You can start off with a different amount of flavoring or a different ratio between the Toasted Almond and the Absolute but I think I hit it spot on. But if you're weary just use less flavoring in the same 2-1 ratio (Absolute-Toasted Almond).

I'm thinking of adding a little bit of "Smoother" (Wizard Labs sells a smoothing agent, it isn't considered a flavor. It is supossed to take off any harsh or hard edge a vape might have) but I'm not entirely sure if I will add "Smoother" or not. Time will tell.

Be well,
