Welcome,

I'm sure that a few will help however unless they are a doctor or there is evidence to support the claim few will go on record and feel well about being part of a research paper as there are a lot of things that are unknown about E-Cigs at this time ( the long term effects is one of them).

As for Tobacco Cigs there is plenty out there about the chemicals found in them, knowing that scientifically you can research them individually to find out additional information how they may react with the human body. Also if you hit the Smoke Free advocate groups there is plenty of documented information about the effects of Tobacco Cigs.

As for building your own, again plenty of information out there on how to per say build one, I'd stay with the "Box Mod" concept as it is the easiest home project that you can do. I would first however know very well battery safety and oHm's law, remember that you are dead shorting a battery so playing around with this without care can get you hurt. If your looking as to what atomization is and how that all factors in on the base level atomization concept is the same across all substrates and liquids regardless of use so you could get a base understanding of that with a little bit of google research.

I hope that one or more of the MD's (we have a few of them in ECF) weigh in on the health effects and provide supportive documentation for you to reference, you can also hit up CASAA's website for information as it is also posted there on E-Cigs and the current industry findings.

Hope this helps out and welcome to ECF
