Hi All,

I'm going to be starting to DIY first of the month, and I'm curious about what equipment you use for taste testing your new flavors. We are enjoying our clearo 1.6 ml tanks, is it worth dropping a 1/4 ml of a new juice in for tasting or is there a better (smaller, easier to clean, cheaper to get in bulk) tank system we should get to test them in?

Any advice will be appreciated. I've gotten most of my information about vaping from you guys here, even before I joined. Thanks so much for being open and willing to share what you know. It makes getting started a lot easier.

Happy vaping :vapor:

Thanks Steven. I'll probably end up going to dripping for testing. We are using ce4 clearos so the open at the bottom. although just taking off the drip tip and dumping would be about the same thing. I've found that it takes a while to get the stronger flavors/smells out (cappucino lingered for days and so did my ry4 no matter how much I rinsed them out) and I'm worried about not getting accurate taste tests if an old flavor is lingering in a clearo. Can you recommend a good drip atty for an ego?

I am in exactly this same position. I also use CE4s (and am happy with them for general use). I have no interest in rebuilding coils or anything like that (too clumsy) but am interested in buying several basic atomizers for testing diy liquids. (I had the same problem with flavors lingering in the CE4s.)

Any suggestions as to source? My one-and-only local store was out of stock (not that they have much in general). I've checked out several sites but there are all these variations and I get confused.

Thanks in advance.

PS - What does the LR mean in 510 LR?

I use a couple of Phoenix clones and a new-to-me Igo-S RDA. If you don't mind the idea of rebuilding, the Igo-S seems to work great for 3-4 drops, it's really easy to clean, and it works well on top of regular eGo batteries. The only downside I see is that it's short, so it vapes a bit warmer than my EVODs and mini vivi.

I'm new at DIY too and the phoenix RBA clone (hebel v3 at free-cigs.com less that 10 bucks) is working great for me
just put in a few drops, vape and then dry burn the remaining liquid

I have a similar thing, it's great! It's called the Wyvern from Discount Vapers and it was around $9.00.

The only problem is it gives hella throat hit and not a whole lot of vapor, so it's hard to judge what the juice will taste like in my preferred Evod/T3's.

Any suggestions?

I use 510 LR attys for flavor testing which will do just fine if your ego is above 450mah. I usually use one for fruity flavors, one for savory, and another for tobacco/coffee. rinse and dry burn to clean. they last a while.

I have a 900mah so I think that will do, but will I need to get an adapter for the atty to work on it? I

Sounds like the air hole and the coil are either not aligned or are too far away from each other.
