DIY juice. need some help - advice

Hello everyone. I have been trying diy for a lil while now and haven't had a great deal of success. My juices taste harsh. I have tried steeping for a week and didn't get any better results. I have been trying to get a good honey dew melon vapour. I have gone with 70 vg 30pg base. My old 100mg Inc tastes stale so I have ordered some new stuff from wizard labs. (100mg pg base) l have just ordered the same nic but in a vg base. I have honeydew flavoring from flavor apprentice. I started with 15% abd it smells good but can't really taste it. If I go higher it makes the juice harsh. Any ideals to make this better? Does anyone know of a good honeydew melon recipe. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You might want to try a lower VG/PG ratio; PG carries a lot of the flavor in juice, so too much VG gives you great vapor density but lesser taste for the same concentration of flavoring! You might also want to add a hint of a sharper note to your mix, like menthol (and I really mean just a hint), as some flavors seems to round out better with such an addition! Good luck!

It sounds as if you are over flavoring it, when you over flavor oddly enough it becomes no flavor. TFA Honeydew is pretty strong, back it to around 5% and give that a go.
