For my most expensive to make juice (36 mg), the nic costs $1.20 and the 25% flavoring cost $0.42 at the prices you quoted. Even at 18mg, the nic would still be more expensive than the flavorings.

I make 30ml batches @12mg/ml... 20% flavor

I use 60mg/ml base, which means each batch gets 6ml nic, 6ml flavor, and 18ml VG.

so for me, the flavor is twice as expensive as the nic.

ETA: price quotes-
4oz bulk flavoring from capella.. $19.95

500 ml of 60 mg nic from wizardlabs.. $39.29

wasn't trying to waste anyone's time on a pointless post/thread, I WAS trying however to get invaluable input as to sourcing in the DIY game, and I got it, and also learned one person doesn't waste money on nicotine, one person does, two people like to argue a lot, most don't, small batches, small flavor increments, and as I suspected, Wizard Labs was a great source. Thanks as always, I appreciate the experience.

You did a wonderful job sorting through the chaff and getting to the wheat! :)

i have been making small batches, and so far, I haven't mixed anything I couldn't use. I keep and use it all, some nicotine is better than no nicotine, my old smoking days make "settling" on less than perfect flavos not a big deal, anything beats analogs for me. after 32 years, not going back to them. usually I add what I didn't like on its own to a tobacco flavor, and vape it too. I have a tobacco flavor I am not too fond of, so that gets the leftover/scrapped mix. I also try to keep the same flavor profiles together, not adding anything radical to these. I am looking forward to getting my supplies from Wizard Labs and putting together some stuff I can't seem to find when I try and buy premixs, with just a description to go by. been disapointed in many of them, and everybody "has the best"...not so much really. as always, thank you for your experience and input, appreciate it.

I'm new to diy and just want to say thanks for this thread and the info on Wizard Labs.

I've bought twice now from V Zone and now I see I paid over double what I needed to.

I appreciate this thread. (except for the petty snit fit thread jack stuff... Take
that private if you really feel the need to argue it out guys.
Even a noob like me knows each of us is responsible for his own math.)

I'm 2 years into vaping and diy has really made me realize how little I know, kinda like starting over.
I've spent the last week pouring over this sub to educate myself.
Glad knowledgeable people are here... and all on the same side. Cheers!

My apologies for steering the course of the thread off topic :) I just want to let ya'll know, Glass and I are not arguing, regardless of what the text may appear to be, we're debating :) We are just bouncing opinions off of each other, because honestly, this is how we come up with great recipes and know-hows, by utilizing each other and our experiences.

All of the said, it was still off topic, and I apologize to the OP. Sometimes you open a thread, see some information, and just start replying. It is, after all, a discussion board. ;)

I took away nicotine costs money and affects the taste/flavour/vapor. Got it, no problem. thanks.

I pulled the trigger and ordered from Wizard. did I say 30 or 40 bucks? I meant $60 or $70. lol. picked up every flavor I had any interest in, everything my wife had an interest in, and anything I could use in a recipe for combinations, beakers, bottles, syringes, nic bases, and everything else I could think of needing. its all about waiting on delivery now. thank you guys for the feedback and help. I appreciate it all. cheers.
