From Hoosier's blog....

See more of his blog posts here....
E-Cigarette Forum - Hoosier - Blogs

MTS Vape Wizard, aka VW. MTS is suppose to stand for More Thicker Smoother. It can help some mixes produce more vapor. (Some flavorings actually reduce vapor production) It can smooth or help blend flavors together. I use it in the 1 drop per 10ml to 1 drop per 3ml range, but usually start closer to the middle at 1 drop per 5ml to see if it will do a darn thing to the mix. Sometimes it seems to work wonders, but I've never had it make a mix worse.

Bitter Wizard. This makes things bitter. Mostly useful for tobacco blends, but sometimes a bit of bitter will make things much more flavorful. Again 1 drop per 10ml to 1 drop per 2ml is a useful range. I usually start at the tiny 1 drop per 10ml and work up if it is needed.

Magic Mask. This is weird stuff and I find it is more likely to hurt the taste of a mix than to help it. It can take really sharp notes down and make them palatable. I usually start over if I have used this in a mix and it helps and always start over if I have used this in a mix and it makes it worse. It may work better for you than me. This is the last thing I ever try on a mix.

yes, I'm hand-selecting information that I think is helpful from old posts and compiling it here. Just realized, it might be helpful if I add the link from the original post. agreed, or not necessary?

micksf: are you pulling selected quotes from previous posts in old threads? Just want to clarify where this information is coming from.

personally I don't really think it is necessary, but I can see where some people would like more info or see the context from which it comes

From pinellaspete... Regarding - Throat Hit

Start with adding some Vodka of at least 100 proof or above. Add 2 drops per 5ml to start with. You can always add more if needed. Don't worry, it won't taste like Vodka at these levels.

From Mr. P....

The only way to get a good TH is to go 100% PG with a mint or cinnamon type flavor. Other then that nothing will give it you without PGA.

From pinellaspete...

Use 2 drops of one of the acids per 5ml of juice. It enhances the flavor and extends the life expectancy of your juice. It really doesn't matter which acid you use, just that you do use one of them in each of your mixes. The acids are Lemon Juice (citric acid), Malic Acid, Tartaric Acid and Vinegar (acetic acid).

Nicotine in PG or VG will last for several years in the freezer. There is no need to add anything to your nicotine, PG or VG until you mix your juice.

I like magic mask and do use it sometimes but a lot of times i cant tell a real difference and often think the change is all in my head . I usually use 1 drop per 5ml though so maybe im not using enough .

This is what i got from emailing FA about the 3 wizard/mask

"Unfortunatly we cannot divulge the formulas with ingredients of our flavours. We can just say that Vape Wizard Is a sweet tobacco flavour,Bitter Wizard naturally is a bitter tobacco and the Magick is a sweet flavour with a redoubt amount of PH.

Heres what i found to work for each thing best

Adding sweetness (other than sweetener) - Tart and sour (tiny bit)
Adding sourness - tart and sour ( a lot)
Removing sweetness/making bitter - FA bitter wizard
Adding moistness and feel while reducing PH- FA magic mask with tart and sour

Adding body and depth - although i dont see a big difference her but maybe with tobaccos it will work - MTS Vape wizard .

From icebob...

Marshmallow flavoring is a great alternative (for adding moisture). I use it at a couple drops per 5ml, add that nice moisture feeling...

From Sweeney Todd...

I find Capella's Vanilla Custard works, not as moist as Marshmallow, but it does have the desired effect.

from zoiDman...

Custard is a Tool that Every DIY-er needs in their toolbox.

Great for taking an Edge of a Harsh e-Liquid with adding a huge amount of Flavor.

And Vanilla brings out the Flavor of just about Any "Brown" mix.

From AzPlumber....

Some people use Stevia to sweeten their DIY, It can give an off or chemical taste that some don't care for. Splenda is sucralose along with other stuff that you don't want to vape but if you are adventurous the sucralose can be extracted using pga. If you are interested do a search as there are a number of threads on this topic.

From chrismp...

You probably want to go with sucralose as others mentioned

Splenda is a sugar alternative you might have heard of, this stuff is sucralose but has a bunch of other stuff in the powder (ie: not very good for juices)

You want liquid sucralose. Some supermarkets carry it, but no you probably don't have any in your house.

I have used msts sweetener a lot . It is a bit stronger sucrlalose then ezsweets is . I used 1 drop per 6-10ml and it has always worked . You can dilute is by adding 25% PG to it and it will be more like ezsweetz . Are you shaking the bottle up ? It does like to crystalize at the top. 1 drop per 6ml shouldnt be sickeningly sweet.

from vicsan .... regarding Menthol Crystals

I crushed mine in a mortar and pestle, filled the bottle to half with PG and filled the other half with crushed menthol crystals. Shake and let it dissolve. If you don't have a mortar and pestle, a heavy glass on a plate/bowl should work. They crush easily.

Here's the "tip" on ecigexpress.com:

TIP: To dissolve, fill a container half way with VG or PG, then the other half with menthol crystals. Shake until dissolved. Heating the VG or PG first will speed up the process. Try starting out at 5% in your recipe of that solution that you made.
