DIY Mix Question

I just purchased a 30ml bottle of unflavored VG at 36mg and a bottle of pure VG. I read a few pages of the receipe thread, but it has over 20 pages and I just wanted to know if I can mix this 50/50. I also ordered menthol crystals so I won't be adding any flavor other than the crystals and most of those receipes call for 10% of the flavoring.

Would it be okay to just mix the two and add some crystals?

I use a 50 / 50 mix, and am very happy with it. I don't know about the crystals. since I don't use them.

I expect yvilla to be popping in here shortly. She's sort of the guru of DIY juice. She can set you straight with the crystal issue.

I have tried mixing just the menthol crystals and 36 juice and was not happy with the outcome. The crystals are very difficult to control and without another flavor in there it tends to come out tasting like vics vapor rub - not very pleasant. I am still trying to come up with a good combination. The one thing I would suggest with the crystals is to mix a batch of concentrated menthol in either PG or VG, then drop by drop add that to your juice. That way you hopefully get the right amount of menthol. I have heard from the guru's on the forum that the real trick to a good menthol is a good tobacco base? You might want to play with some mint flavorings with the menthol, just be careful with the mint type flavors since most are oils and you don't want to put an oil in your juice! If you come up with something good, let us know!

It is pretty good juice..............Although I wouldn't add any menthol to it....just my preference.

I never like menthol cig and it came as a suprise that I like menthol e-cig juice. TN cured gives it just the right tabacco taste and the mentol picks up a hint of sweetness out of the juice. I like to mix them up.

I am soooo pleased! I received my JOYE510 last night and my menthol crystals. I also have an R4081 super-mini. I used a little bit of filtered water and put in several mentol crystals. I zapped this for 20 seconds and the crystals melted. I didn't realize though that the crystals have a waxy substance that will separate and harden on the top of the water. I guess this is what they mean when they say they are semi water soluble. I pushed the wax aside and put one little drop of the menthol water in my cartridge (tobacco flavor) and OMG, it is even better than my mentol cigs!

This is just what I was looking for in order to quit tobacco cigs. I couldn't quit before because even with the mint/menthol flavor, I couldn't get that throat hit and I would always smoke a cigarette. I'm now smoking my last pack and plan to stay with the e-cig.

Yeah, that's what I did: PG/crystals/small amount VG and a touch of peppermint. I was thrilled to actually get menthol but I miss the tobacco flavor. This is like smoking a weak vicks ciggie.

I'm on the hunt for some good tobacco/nic juice to mix in since this has NO nic and I'm still smoking analogs because I can't get the flavor right and no nic....

I just ordered some Marlboro High from Widows Beadwork. She is much less expensive that I've found. I paid 12.00 for 15ml and her 30ml is only 21.00 and she doesn't charge shipping.

I'll let you know if it's good.
