What company did you order from? Would like to know so I never order from them. My first batch of nic came in a separate zip-loc baggie with the lids taped, but there was a slight little bit of leakage -- just enough so you could tell, but not even enough to coat the inside of the bag. Didn't contact their support, but will if the next order (which is on its way) arrives in the same condition...

I also ordered some nicotine from them once. I was so horrified by the quality of how it was shipped, while I LOVE them for flavors how they ship nicotine leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not sure if they're the only ones who sell nicotine with such open tops/mouths, but that really rubs me the wrong way. The mouth of that lid is far too easy for someone to spill all over themselves as they wrestle off the top cap. I transferred my nicotine to bottles with a very small spout lid. I remember I reached for my gloves before I really touched anything I ordered that time because there was something leaking, and I wasn't sure where the leak was coming from but one of my nicotine bottles was a little low. After that I saw wizard labs, and then nicvape and said never again will I buy nicotine from them.

I wonder if they've figured it out? The whole point yet? Leaking nicotine is inexcusable. I hope they read this thread and reconsider their shipping practices.

I wouldn't blame it on the mailman. It's the handling in between that causes the majority of damage. I have never seen a USPS sorting facility, but I have seen Fed Ex. I don't imagine them being too much different.

Wow. Thank you for posting. I just made an order last night from them. I just opened a trouble ticket asking to cancel my order, I will gladly pay more and use Wizard knowing this mess wont happen to me. That is putting the whole industry at risk. As Unloaded said, it only takes one mailman.

We're not blaming the mailman, were worried about one getting soaked with 100mg nic base. At the very least they'd throw a $20 HazMat fee on it like gunpowder and primers have. Imagine what that would do if it included shipping any liquid containing nicotine. As DIYers we could order enough bulk to spread the fee thin enough. If you just wanted to sample a couple offerings from a juice vendor you'd be screwed.

Of the many orders of nic base I've received, I've never seen one that was not sealed around the bottle opening in addition to the cap .. in fact, it should have had that seal as well .. and if it was broken, then certainly the package must have been manhandled somewhere along the way ..

Don't even want to hear hazmat on gunpowder and primers right now, not to mention the price increase of powder/primers.:-x

It's ultimately the fault of the shipper. Of course you already know that. When I get my WL order, I'm going to open a packaging thread and post pic's of how WL does it.

I think last night was the only time I didn't receive a package from WL in a box (it was only just 6 or 7 flavors). (On a budget this week, but was out of a few critical flavors)

Even so this envelope was packed so full of air and bubblewrap you could have used it for a football! :vapor:

Double bublewrapped, and they put that inside one of their big air bag thingies, and that was inside an already bubblewrapped envelope.

All it's gonna take is one mailman to get nic poisoning and it'll be game over. We won't have to worry about the FDA getting involved. I've got over $200 in flavors in my cart at ECX but that's as far as its going to go. I won't be sending any of my money to a company with such piss-poor regard to others. If they are pinching pennies they should just bump up the price of shipping and handling to cover it. No excuse for it.

What he said. Definitely.

This is a problem, for all of us. This is way beyond just a careless vendor. Need to find out who the actual owner of ECX is and emphasize that what he is doing is way beyond just his poor practices.

We are, currently, in a good place being able to get nicotine without ridiculous shipping tariffs.

I absolutely don't want to be paying triple, quadruple or more for some BS hazmat fee for nicotine just because of someones carelessness. And this isn't the first time or even second or third that I have heard of this.

ARRRRRGH!

Another vendor is in the spotlight for not shipping out nicotine properly.

Scroll thru-it is a posting from Wednesday. Vendors do not realize this is a liability issue. I understand the liability clause on the website. However, they are responsible for packaging the liquids correctly.

I ordered some premixed once from a popular vendor here at ecf. It was sent loose in a bubble mailer and leaked thru the package.

I didn't want to start this thread to bash the supplier. However if a problem does exist, then is certainly does need to be addressed since it does affect us all. There have been enough people testifying in this thread of having this happen from the same supplier to have this be considered hazardous.

To clarify on the packaging and degree of leakage: The nic base was in a wide mouth plastic 250ml container capped with a coated paper seal, then taped around the lid and placed inside a plastic ziploc style bag with flavorings and another 250ml container that was filled with VG sealed the same. The VG did not leak. This bag was placed inside a bubble mailer with another ziploc style bag containing varying sizes of empty plastic bottles for e juice, pipettes and the caps and dripper tips for said bottles. There was nic base on the inside of the bag with the container it was placed in and also on the outside of the bag it was placed in. There was nic base on the bag the empty bottles and pipettes were in, but not on the inside of that bag. I estimate that approximately 10ml of 100mg base had leaked out. Also I observed that the lid on the nic base container was not screwed on as tightly as the lid for the VG. I would think however that it would be tight enough for a seal. The labels for the flavorings had started to come off.

I don't consider it bashing as much as I do making people aware that they should be careful opening packages containing nic base. Anything of that nature should be in a box, not a bubble wrap mailer.

I bought nic from them as well. I never had any leakage. However, I was not impressed with nicotine being sent in a bubble mailer. I do love their selection of flavorings. I order nic from RTS. However, I may have to start using Wizard soon or MFS.

FW peach tobacco is one of my keepers and my reorder of just flavors.....well, shipping in a bubble mailer, that distance......just not common sense to me.

Just received my flavorings from ECX yesterday. I've ordered from them numerous times but this time it leaked. No nic, just flavorings but still, they should have been packaged with a few flavors to a baggie instead of all together. However, they were on top of the problem within an hour of my email to them. I mailed it all back and even took pics. The concoction in the bag even got the attention of my mailman...he said it smelled "interesting"...LOL. I hope they take a little more pride in the way they package with all the mishaps lately.

All of my shipments from XTR have been very well packed.

If sloppy vendors keep shipping like the OP showed it's just a matter of time before some 100 mg base gets spilled on a UPS or USPS worker. Then there will be hell to pay and nic will have to be shipped as a hazardous material. Hazmat shipping is so expensive the industry will virtually dissapear.
