Been doing DIY since 5/2012 but for some reason anything I vape (DIY & VENDOR) doesn't taste good

Wow, that is NOT good. I have a couple of questions and maybe we can help. I hope so!

What kind of hardware do you use? Do you just have one main PV? The reason is ..... I have found that the taste of the juice can differ drastically just by changing the pv. I just now was vaping and was wonderful......battery ran out so took the whole thing and changed it over to my ego and it tastes awful. It burns too fast for the strawberry.......so, I have to pull more thru to keep that from happening.

Also, there is a good tongue scraper thingie available at your regular drug store and if you don't have one, just brush your whole mouth, including tongue with a soft toothbrush. That usually fixes it for me. I am terribly terribly particular. There are way more things I hate than like when it comes to juices.

Also the tank or cart, or whatever method you use for the juice can make it taste so different. So, many things. Maybe we can help, but like Sandi recomended........ if you just got something really mild with one or two flavors that might do to start. How many kinds of things have you tried? I know so many questions. Not really nosey, just trying to help.

I agree. I have never had anything from her that I did not like. She has wonderful peaches and I really love the strawberry. Oh, already said that. LOL

have you tried vaping unflavored? I really like it, some people say it tastes a little sweet. but it won't offend I have a hard time finding liquids I like to. I have decided I like simple one note liquids. and menthol. I like peach and peach menthol. grape.

I've never gotten a flavor from diy flavorshacks that I didn't like. clearly grape. perfect peach. grappel (grape/apple). I have some of her other peaches on the way.

What would you suggest adding to a coffee juice that tastes like burnt popcorn? I would like it sweeter and smoother.Any ideas? I find that alot of coffee vapes have that burnt popcorn taste.At least to my palate.Gotta figure out how to counter that or subdue it.

I vape only sweet vapes ... I've tried other flavors, haven't liked anything else. Maybe you just haven't found "what you like" yet ... ??

I want to know if there is a formula anywhere for how exactly to make a good strong mix of menthol crystals so that I get the same results each time.

A couple of years ago I tried it and in the coldest of winter the juice solidified a lot!!! Definitely too much crystals!!!!

Also, what is the best tobacco flavor to mix with it so that it is not just like vaping 'Vicks Vapor Rub'?

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner on this... but I am a former Menthol smoker, and spent the first few months I was vaping trying to find that 'perfect' menthol flavor/juice...

Now I hardly use any at all, and it's been a while since I made any liquid from the crystals... but I think it was 1/2 teaspoon in a 10ml bottle, and then fill it up with PG (or PGA... which they don't sell here in CA) because it doesn't like to dissolve in VG. I use all VG when I DIY, but I got a little bottle of some plain PG/nic so I didn't get stuck with a lot of it that I couldn't use.

You need to crush the crystals into a powder first, and if it doesn't dissolve all the way... run the bottle under some hot tap water to help. You can keep adding more powder if you want to, until it has reached the saturation point, or more liquid if needed, too. It's not rocket science... LOL!!

Mine was so strong that just a couple of drops in 10ml of juice was enough for most flavors, but you just need to experiment on your own for your tastes. Some people even like to add a little to their fruit flavors...

If you want to find out more, just go into the Advanced search here in the forum and do a search for just the posts, with the word "crystals" and that should bring up some more help for you, too.

It's funny that I hardly ever use menthol anymore, but I do love me some Chocolate Mint!! Plus Menthol & Mint is a good combo as well...

I'm definitely going to have to try some of these recipes out! I love sweet or fruity vapes now. I tried tobacco flavors for awhile, but didn't really care for any of them! I just recently started DIY and am trying to find sweet recipes. Thanks guys. Now I need to place an order for flavors soon!!
