i just recently started purchasing from DIYflavorshack after some frustrating experiences with a different company that sent me some really gross stuff. so far, i absolutely love them! very friendly people, flavors are dead on, and they have a really good variety to choose from. my girlfriend picked up on every flavor when i gave her a blind taste test to see if she liked them.
i've tried all of these with a 3.7v mod and a 5v usb passthrough with 510's.
caramel macchiatto:
it was basically my insane attempt at melding my two favorite vices, vaping and coffee, and i was really happily surprised at how smooth it tastes. it has that great slightly earthy yet creamy goodness my favorite barista provides me every morning. there's a very slight nuttiness off in the background that really cements this as one of my favorites. good layering of profiles.
too bad vaping can't provide caffeine or i'd be kicking my coffee habit too!
vanilla raspberry:
just sweet enough to be nice and fruity without being cloying. i like their proportions, vanilla can get out of hand really easily, but it's there as a solid foundational layer without overpowering. the raspberry cuts through really well on the exhale. plus, it has a really pleasant after taste. i picked this flavor as an afterthought (darned sweet-tooth of mine) and i'm really glad i did.
coffee and cream:
they sent this as a free gift and totally won my coffee loving heart!
every bit as good as that really satisfying first cup of coffee in the morning (provided you take your coffee with cream that is). it really is like vaping a cup of good old coffee. vape after some doughnuts maybe? lol....
i got a similar flavor from the previously mentioned other company that tasted like coffee grounds and sour milk. gross! DIY hit the mark and got it really right.
the 1/2 flavor~~~>raspberry macchiatto!! can you dig it???
i was vaping the macchiatto while looking for my other atty's to test the other flavors and for kicks i put a drop of the raspberry into the same atty as the macchiatto and HOLY COW i'm in love! my girlfriend used to get a raspberry coffee from the local coffee house and it reminds me a whole lot of that. imagine the macchiatto with a nice raspberry kick! soooo awesome......
i'm going to have to work out the proportions and make myself a little 5ml bottle. maybe the good folks at DIY will come out with a version of this? *ahem*ahem*wink*wink*......
they all vape smoothly, a big th would've lessened the experience for me with these particular flavors. good vapor production i think....i usually vape purely vg based juices so my point of view's a little skewed on that. i've gotten used to giant plumes.
overall, i've tried a few different companies and when i'm not feeling lazy as hell i make my own at home, but DIY is definitely my favorite company to date.
