I run one Grand with a Kick and one without. The one with the Kick cranked up to about 3 o'clock on the dial (not sure what wattage that is) is simply a much better vape for me (flavor and thick warm vapor) and I'm using a RM2 @ 1.5ohms W/cotton wick. When I put that same atty on the non-kicked Grand (fresh battery) I can tell a huge difference.

A fresh battery at 4.2v would put you at 11.76 watts with a 1.5ohm coil. The kick tops out at 10 watts. So if anything you should be getting a warmer vape without the kick, at least until the battery drops below 4v.

Well I don't know what it could be then (maybe my 18650s are weak), but I'm just sharing what I've experienced. Your math certainly adds up to a non-kicked device putting down more power with the 1.5 coil, but it doesn't feel like it in my case. By the way I double checked my coil and it's actually 1.8ohms.

Using my darwin I notice that the resistance of most atomizers or cartos will fluctuate during a vape. The fluctuation may only be .1 or .2. I also notice that my darwin will adjust mid vape as the resistance changes. My theory here, is that is why it is such a different vape using a kick or a product from evolv, more consistency, providing a consistent draw, giving us a more fuller body vape.

It is reasonable that with a 1.8Ohm Atomizer you are receiving a hotter vape with the kick.

The Reo is a mechanical and when you put it on a fully charged battery it will drop by around .2 Volts so even though the mechanical is putting out 4.20 when you check with a volt meter you are actually vaping at 4V.

I checked the watts ohm chart and at 1.8Ohm Atomizer and 10 Watts, the Kick will boost the volts to 4.25v and you will be vaping at 4.25v so you are getting around .25V more with the Kick.
