Are those numbers supposed to be comforting?

Kinda. it is a very small package with that size. but then again I doubt the advertised 100C rating. and 145 grams is pretty much the weight of 3 18650s. and honestly I doubt you are going to notice those 45 grams (since a standard 18650 is 45 grams) in your hand.

makes my turnigy look like a giant tho

100C is 'Burst' rating not 'Continuous'

I called them yesterday and had a long talk with them. Was trying to see if they would build custom packs for the enclosure project.

Turns out that the "True 40C" they advertise is actually only a 20C battery. Their "true" spec on their listings is the "Burst" rating, the "continuous" rating is half of that. So that 800mAh bat is only really rated 16A continuous.

Actually my conversation with them was very enlightening. I told them the application and we talked for about a half hour. They knew of the DNA200 as they have a Modder on their staff.

I posted this over in the Boxer thread....According to an email I got from GV, they will soon be offering the Boxer in an Evolv DNA200 version to go along with their current Yihi SX350J version. Both pictured below.

DNA version looks to be slightly taller, but less wide and more pocket friendly. Didn't get any info from them re: LiPo battery used.

Think i'll need to pick one up to add to the

I like this.

Where can I get one???

Searched for boxer thread, no results.

honestly I am not interested in it simply because of the small battery size. I highly doubt even 2200mah will last me a day even with the added effectiveness of the lipo.
You'd be surprised...i can go all day on an 800 mah 2s pack in a variant when using a tank.....or 3 2500 mah 18650s, same tank and wattage.....i think it's a combination of better battery chemistry and bucking voltage vs. always boosting in the 18650 mod

2,200mah in a 3S 11.1V battery is equal to 6,600mah in an 18650 at 3.7V... that's a lot, and that'll be a pretty big mod for sure...
I will have to admit. my dna 200 mod is gonna be quite huge. that 2200mah battery is long as hell. gonna be pretty thick too. it's not really gonna be a super portable mod haha.

Still fiddling with how I am gonna make everything fit. The only thing kinda messing me up is the firebutton. it sticks out so much jesus. Been thinking of lowering the chip so that I have more space to put the firing button in deeper so I can make the box less deep. the screen will not be centered but eh It is my own mod so I don't really care. the battery cables are going to be cut and re soldered but damn that balance charger is messing me up. Can't really just shorten that thing. is there like a adapter that like clicks on and essentially makes it at a 90 degrees angle?

Still need to coat the inside of the box with something that doesn't conduct electricity to make it more forgiving. also probably going to make like a thin wood panel to separate the chip and battery.

Received my black Opus 200 today and thoroughly impressed. Nice quality and feel. Having a blast tweaking and tinkering with eScribe. The larger than life photos got me again (ala my first Provari) the unit is quite compact with good weight. Nice Piece!

Mine arrived today as well! However, I am at work and my neighbor brought it inside for me. I cannot wait to see it and you just added to my suspense. I will share my impressions as soon as I see it and hopefully I am surprised as you are with the size!

Regardless of how big that battery is, couldn't you find a tighter enclosure? You have too must wasted space, what's the dimensions on that box?

Hammond 1590-N1BK (Aluminium Black) Enclosure

Outer Dimensions: 121.20mm(L) x 65.50mm (W) x 39.80mm (D)
Pretty much the only box that would fit the lipo I had picked. Everything else wasn't big enough. the only "issue" is that it's too deep. I can probably cut off 5ish mm off it.
