Right. For the smallest enclosures you will not be using a connector for either the balance charger or the battery leads. Doing so you REALLY have to work carefully. It is not hard, but requires a clean and simple approach...and soldering the battery - last. I would add that some insulating tape over the battery + - and the balance charging solder points after you have soldered them (front and back) is a good idea if you are working with a metal case.
The one I am interested in is the next size up from the smallest. It would be cool to have an exact replica of the beta box but only having a 950mah battery is a little too small. The next size up will take the 1500mah which is a bit better and on the webpage someone mentioned an 1800mah which should fit although that battery is quite a bit more expensive.

ModMaker.co.uk are the cheapest in the UK for the board, I did a write up of my build Smal DIY DNA200 Build | ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK it is probably too tight for a first mod but a Hammond 1590G would be easier and allow a larger battery. Good luck, take your time, check everything at lest twice and have a practice soldering the thick wires if you are new or rusty.
Yeah although Ireland is just next door and it's cheaper there... Shipping too I believe.

For me, there was a 15€ saving overall I think. Can't remember the exact values but I simulated the purchase from Stealthvape, cloud9vaping, modmaker and bargain vapour.

I've been waiting for the Vaporshark and the VT200 to be unveiled but after this guy's post I'm jumping on this and making one just for the fun of it, until the others are released. The hammond box doesn't look too bad. The only thing I'm uncertain about is which battery to buy.

There is nothing like vaping on something you have built your self.

How much do you vape??? You know you have to multiply those ratings by 3 to get the equivalent single cell (18650) rating, right? My Hana v200 with a 950mah 3s lasts all day with heavy vaping (just a bit longer than my rDNA40). My BRD200 with a 1300mah 3s easily lasts 1.5 days.

How very positive of you :p.

The VS DNA200 is supposed to be announed 8/14 during ECC (2 weeks). It took more than 2 weeks to order all the required parts to build my BRD200 (3d printed mod). Once you have the dimensions for the battery space, you can pick a battery to fit. You want to give yourself 1-2mm extra space in each direction as lipo's can swell although some say that it won't if there isn't enough space and it would be ok. I've been buying my lipo's from Hobbyking. Make sure you pick the right warehouse for quicker delivery.

Thanks I'll read that when I'm home. That build looks really nice too, well done! I had an email from ukecigstore store saying they won't be selling the chip on its own which is a shame, not that I'm particularly fond of them but got £70 credit to spend there and nothing I want to spend it on. I'd of spent all £70 just for the board to just use it up! Modmaker is £59.99 which is pretty reasonable, I'll probably get one from them.

Ah I thought the total mah was the stated value! I did think to myself it seemed a very low mah and would need to be charging constantly! That is indeed good to know! I can get through 10ml some days, some days more, some less, you know depending on how things are. Most days I fill my Lemo 2 at least 3 times.

Not related to any current point on this thread, but I finally got a rocking Nickel build at .22 and a great wick, so I was vaping away like a happy pig last night and the great vapor and flavor just stopped. It was back to meh vapor and flavor and going down hill with each drag. Oddly it was the first time I had ever run a tank dry! The 200 never missed a beat...refilled, looked at wick...still perfect and kept on going.

Well first I like the idea of building the mod myself. As for the VS I was always going to wait a while before buying it; worked out well so far. The hana has screen issues and the opus fuse problems. What won me over though was the attitude of John from evolv on their forums; great attitude, very helpful and informative.

For my mod, I bought a Hammond 1590a but it's temporary until I work out what I want and print my own designed case. And yeah I'm buying from hobby king they have a wide range of batteries and a European warehouse.

I'm using a TGT II @ 28 watts with 35 watt pre-heat and have no complaints about battery life as compared to my 18650 powered mods. Mine is a 1000 mah. It's probably a bit better. But I guess if I was using my Velocity @ 100 watts all the time it would be a different story. I vape, I charge, nothing any different time wise. Just saying.

I was looking at other European sources for LiPos and stumbled upon this anyone have any input? The capacity seems pretty high for its dimensions. Obviously it isn't cheap or light but seems like it's worth it.
I could be wrong but the dimensions look like a misprint. Most 1300mah are 34-36mm wide (72ish x 21ish is correct though). I bought a 1500mah lipo with the same dimensions as a 1300mah and it was 28mm thick, not 21mm as stated in the description. The vendor was good and gave me a refund and didn't ask for the batteries back. I have 2 1500mah lipos that I can't use now .

Hah.

I can easily vape up 4 X 2500s(so since dual series it's a 5000 mah). Hell if I am up early and I don't have work and I stay up late I can easily go through another pair. Sometimes I end up with vaping up the batteries quicker than they can charge.

My 2200mah lipo was at I think 60%ish and I emptied it out starting like from 4pm till 1 am. and that is including me loading up and delivering a kitchen.

How little do you vape
do u even vape bro?

So got a reply on my warranty request from evolv. They are shipping out a new board today. I am extremely impressed especially considering I haven't send my broken board yet. I expected to have to wait untill they fixed mine and send it back. thank you based evolv

Evolv has been super responsive to every issue I've heard about with the 200. I'm impressed too. There's on doubt in my mind that they are going the extra mile.

Just for reference, mine uses a 1400mah (15.54 wh) turnigy multistar lipo and can get through 20ml at 50 watts in the billow 2 on a single charge :) that's a dual 26 gauge titanium build in temp mode.
