Didn't take it as directed to me in any way so no worries :)

I have a powerbank that takes 18650s. Very handy, and necessary as I was stupid enough to buy a phone with a built in battery. However, it's not very practical to keep a mod (or the phone) tethered to it when out and about. Micro usb connectors can be fragile, and that's a serious issue when the usb port is the only way to charge and update a device. It's OK with something long like the Evic which is cheap, will never be my primary device, and was bought mainly for the looks. I'm sure built in Lipos are great for most, and I can see the benefits (the battery life of the Evic's 5000 mAh lipo is far superior to that of two 2500 mAh 18650s), but it's just not for me. Ideally I'd want tiny, Cloupor Mini-sized one 18650 60-70w DNA200, but that's not possible.

If you want a small mod, why not just get a rDNA40 or SBody Macro and build your atomizer to the mod (like most people did with mechs) rather than try to build a super low ohm coil that needs 100w?

For sure, I am really digging it. Still don't think its wise to mark + and - on the keys since you can assign them differently with the software... but, I doubt I would actually do that anyway.

I am more interested in how much Volcanoecigs is going to charge for this little beauty. With current DNA 200 prices fairly competitive (surprisingly), I can't see them going much higher than $250, and they like to charge premium.

Also is the mystery of the battery. I don't think I saw that specification on the site yet.

They also like their interchangeable color options... wonder if that grip will come in different colors.

Speaking of the Hammond mod above...It is a nice build...but my thinking is if they are making them in batches of 100 that the price point seems a bit high.
100 QTY estimates:
Box $6.75
Chip $57
510 $3
Battery $10
Wire $1

So rounded to $78. Ad an hour of labor to each box for machining and assembly (the face seems milled, so each box is a 5 minute job in a CNC enclosure and then there are eight solder joints, one 510 nut and four screws).

Add $5 for color.

add 50 for "premium" on the website.

So I know that the DNA 200 will now support 2S packs. I am not really all that into lipo batteries. But i wonder if it would work with like 2S2P packs since they have ordinary balance charger connector.

Mmm. USPS says the new board departed chicago. our item departed a transfer airport in O'Hare International, Chicago, UNITED STATES. wonder if its flying to europe now or not.

Been fiddling with the case some more. sanding down the screen hole better. now I know how everything goes I also got different mountings ideas. This time the mod will be cleaaan.

Probably by boat... Mine says the same since July, 27

No plane takes so long to fly to Europe [emoji14]

I agree with whoever said they'd like to see a DNA133 VaporFlask, I would too... but IMHO the "flaw" with the DNA200 design was the screen placement. It's basically designed to be in the middle of the board, so in the flask for example, where the chip would be in the center "tube" section between the batteries, you would have to use, make/develope a screen cable extender... I know there was some initial talks about screen extenders in @mikepetro thread, but I can't remember if anyone actually found one or what?

I love my flask, which is a clone that I retrofit a genuine dna40 in... and I have to admit it quickly became my favorite mod. Battery life is great with 2x 18650, and the ability to swap batteries in a few seconds is nice too - like most of you here, I have a collection of 18650's stock piled and ready to go always.

I would sign up for DNA133 2S (dual 18650) VaporFlask in a HEART BEAT.

Vapor Shark (DNA200) still has the screen on the bottom, I'm to understand that Evolv supplies screens with longer ribbons.

AH!? I was unaware of that. I've been so engulfed in examining ways to build a dna200, I have not looked at many "production" units expect the occasional ones that pop up in the handful of threads I'm currently active in. And all of the ones I've seen show the screen placement between the buttons...they all seem to share that common cosmetic design.

Oh so many choices to what my second DNA200 mod will be. Life is good.

Quick question: what is everyone's' experience with the DNA200 reading coils? My DNA200 is reading my Crown's nickel coil (rated as 0.15) as .19 or .20. The IPV4 is reading it as .175 or so when I set the resistance.Temperature control works great though, just not sure what to make of this.

How do you know it's 0.15 to begin with? Are you reading that on a standalone resistance reader?

I know that when I use 28g NI200 from lightning vapes, I have an extra slit cut exactly opposite of the "factory" slit (think 1 slit at 12 o'clock and 1 at 6 o'clock) and that amount of wire, half a spool rotation, yeilds me a 0.11 (approximately) no matter how I wrap it. I get the same reading on my DNA40 and my stand alone reader.
