Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
I know a lot of other folks like this stuff but i'm not one of them , imo this industry is just getting overly complicated , manufacturers are now just trying to outdo each other with adding the maximum amount of features and functions (most completely useless , some just stupid and all unnecessary) again just my opinion .

Of course there are always type's that buy into this crap so good for them but i would like to see less powerful devices because i think it's better for the industry , only a few years ago thats how it was and everyone seemed perfectly happy.

They have this new thing out there, it's called a wheel! I know right!

Kidding aside, I think it's great that you have a happy place with the way you vape, I really do. But what makes this something you wouldn't want to know more about? Progress is not necessarily a bad thing. Granted, 200W in a temp controlled device is probably a little overkill but having used the DNA40 and really appreciating what it does and how it does it is really pretty cool.

Maybe with the added wattage, I might be able to get a warmer vape with nickel!!

Even though I think I already know the answer to this question, I'm going to ask anyway. Would it be possible to turn off or eliminate or even re word the "Temperature Protected" message on the DNA 200?

As currently provided in the beta you can :
Show the message (changeable)
Show the Temperature
Don't Show

And you can set number of times the message flashes on the screen (default is 3 times)

I sat out the DNA40, wasn't easy, but glad I did. Finally jumped into the the TL pool with the SX Mini M, glad I did. DNA200 sounds very interesting, but based on Evolv's past performance, I'll probably wait again. Hope I'll be glad I did.

You already made 2 mistakes, don't make a third.

Sent my SX back mainly because the temp was so so far off there is one liquid I sometimes vape at 350 F on the DNA and the SX could not always go low enough to get there, no pre heat & pulsed output, kept a DNA40 with the screen glitch as I hardly notice it as it does not affect the vape. It also had a silly dry coil or out of liquid msg, like airflow, wicking and your choice of setting are not reasons for hitting the limit.

Question for the folks who are most familiar with the DNA 200.

Will Evolv provide a .csv file for Grade 1 titanium temp control so folks don't have to go searching through the scientific literature to find values that they can plot for the temp coeff. of resistivity for titanium wire support?

Probably not, but you should be able to get one here for various purity ratings pretty soon!

I'm not downplaying the apparent issues with the DNA40 boards that some experienced, but Evolv has been one of the best things that has happened to vaping. Their history has been one of innovation and lifting the bar for other manufacturers. I don't think the one instance where they had an issue (and I have had no problems with four separate DNA40 devices/boards purchased over the past 8 months) is representative of the historical record or "past performance" of the company. Comparatively speaking, the Chinese manufacturers have been much more troubled with quality control than Evolv. The reports are that the DNA200 has not experienced a single screen glitch...I for one am taking the word of the good folks on the beta and will be buying Day 1.
