A little update since last night-I plugged it in before bed to charge it over night and was relieved to see the red LED indicating that it was charging. I woke up today and the LED was still red, but the battery indicator showed that it was at a full charge. Am I mistaken that it should show a green LED when fully charged? As long as it still charges and holds that full charge I'm not too worried. I'd rather have a LED issue than a charging issue. Currently rocking a .8ohm dual coil in my IGO-W with some 100%vg French toast juice along with my morning coffee. Goooooooooood stuff! :D

Mine turns green when topped off. I read somewhere on this forums about a VS owner where his charging light stays red and stays on even after he pulled the cable. I would contact VS if I were you. Sucks to part with this little giant, but it has to be working 100% IMHO. Goodluck bud

Edit: Forgot to mention above that VS recalled his device.

Thanks for the info. I would really hate to part ways with it again after it being gone for almost two weeks for the first problem lol. But I may give them a call tomorrow morning. The LED turns off once I unplug it, just never turns green. However, the screen does display a "full charge." In your opinion that is still enough reason to turn it in?

Mine turns red when I plug it in, and green when fully charged. If it's plugged into a power source, the battery indicator in the display will show fully charged. The display has no charge indicator, it just displays a remaining charge status estimate at the current resistance and power setting.

Hmmm. Chances are you know more about this thing than I do, so I won't question that lol. So if I'm understanding you right, the battery indicator display has no relevance to how much battery life you have left? I tested that out earlier when it showed "half life." I plugged it in and the indicator didn't do a thing, but the LED was red. A couple hours go by and I check the screen and the display showed "full life" but not green light. I just figure since I have used this thing basically non stop that if it wasn't charging when plugged it, I would have ran it dead by now or at least saw "weak battery" in the display. Once again, not saying your wrong because I'm sure you know your stuff. Just trying to get my facts straight before I call them :)

you can buy a new charge port piece for your chip, I actually saw it on a site earlier.. will edit when i find it.. but i do remember it was cheap as hell and way better than sending your whole mod in

EDIT: atozvaporworld has what im talking about.. not sure if thats what you need so dont take my word for it.. it would most likely void any kind of warranty you have.. (which if you have one your best bet is just calling them and letting them know whats up)

Yep! Righ before you edited, I was gonna mention the warranty deal, which I figured you were we'll aware of. I like bending rules every once in awhile, but when it comes to those, I usually follow the straight and narrow just to keep from losing my money lol. I will give them a call in the morning to give them a heads up. Until then, I am still enjoying it quite a bit. Thanks for the info again :)

I guess I wasn't too clear in my post. From my understanding and experience with the VS DNA30, once plugged in and you press the fire button, the battery meter will show full as long as there is half battery life or more. If it's unplugged, it will act differently. The battery meter is an indicator of remaining usable battery at the wattage setting, measured when you fire the mod. Since yours is charging, it is more that likely a defect of the LED, which is a added feature of the charging board used. As far as I'm aware, the charge board used charges at 500ma, so, from fully drained to fully charged, the 1200mah battery will take just under 2 1/2 hours to charge. It is up to you if you want to send it back and be without it for another 2 weeks of if your comfortable with just using the battery meter as a guide and charging for 2-3 hours knowing that it is sufficient to fully charge your battery. If it was mine, I would probably just live with it.

That makes perfect sense now! Thanks for the explanation. I called VS this morning and talked to a real nice gal. I told her the situation and she said hers does the exact same thing. She said they've been getting calls about a small bunch of them with the same issue. She told me I was more than welcome to send it in, but she said if its working, and its charging, I should hold onto it for awhile. So I think that is what I will do. Thanks again for the help :)
