I have been using a Hana V3 mini for the last few months and it is my everyday device. I know how to use all the functions, vary familiar with it. Today, I took off my Kayfun lite+ to switch out juice and rewick with cotton. I left the 28g micro coil as is, and I know it's 1.3 ohms. I dry burned the empty coil, put some new cotton in, filled it up and put it on the mod. It vaped just fine, same as always, had it at 13.5 watts. I looked at the screen and it was showing the volts at 4.3 and the wattage but the resistance just said 0.0 ohms??? I took the atty off and put it on my ohm reader 1.34…back on the Hana and same thing 0.0 ohms. The resistance field is not flashing, it's just reading 0.0 ohms. I tried several other attys and all worked fine, cranked up the wattage and it went hotter. Bottom line, it's vaping great but not reading the resistance of anything I put on it.

Has anyone run into this using a DNA 20 or 30? I have never seen it and can't find any other info about another user having a similar problem. Is there a way to hard reset the chip w/o affecting the setup for the Hana V3?

I really don't need it to read the resistance for it to work as I know the resistance of the coils I use, since I use the same setup on each atty I have, but it's a bit of a niggle for me. If anyone knows a fix please let me know. I don't want to send it back for a fix because it's my favorite device, and everyone knows it's not easy to find a spare one! Thanks in advance :D

I own a Protovapor XPV with the DNA-30 chip in it, and had the same problem. Thanks to the folks in this thread, I was able to fix the issue with ease. :)

Im glad I found this thread, however Im experiencing an additional problem, I dont think the chip is regulating properly because my taste on the atty is off, it starts out tasting right, but if vaped 5-10 times its starts to ruin the flavor, same result with russian and an I clear 30. And both of those attys taste right on other devises. I have no way of telling for sure, without an inline volt reading devise, but I will try to clear the bug first and then report back. Has anyone else noticed this with their devise before "resetting" it.?

Mine is an XPV by Protovapor DNA 20 too.

Yep -- relatively well known bug on the DNA-20. This is the first I've heard of it on a DNA-30.

Last I asked them a couple of months ago, Evolv did not know what triggers this bug. In fact, they would like to know how to trigger it so they can reproduce it and kill it.

I haven't had it happen with a DNA30 yet, but I saw it several times on a DNA20 mod. I haven't been able to reproduce it consistently, but it appears to happen (for me) when the connection between mod and atomizer comes a little loose. I encountered this periodically with certain RBAs on my DNA20 mod (they'd occasionally unscrew just a hair in the 510 connector from use/handling) and the issue only presented itself while using those particular attys. I suspect it is intermittently breaking the connection on the positive pin while vaping, perhaps it trips something in the board when this happens

That's my theory, anyway. Cannot back it up as of yet . . .

Easy enough fix if your mod has a removable battery or a battery disconnect switch. Hard-wired internal battery however requires draining the device until the board shuts down in order to reset it

Ok so I finally drained the device all the way, except mine is doing all kinds of funky things like showing "check atomizer" when it seems it can no longer fire at the given wattage and if I hold the fire button it switches back and forth from "check atomizer to Check battery" still no ohms being displayed, should I just keep holding the fire button? and will it "shut down" the board eventually? Can someone help me with this please:confused:

Edit: also of note, it is firing intermittenly while switching screens from normal fire screen/check atomizer??

Hmm, not sure why it shows "check atomizer", should just be "check battery". And yes, at that point where it constantly shows "check battery" you just keep trying to fire it periodically and eventually it will completely shut off (this can take a while). Then you just plug it in to charge back up. At least that has been the method with devices I've used
