I've been trying temp Control on my rdna 40 and the crown ni200 coils are burning the cotton, producing vapor, but no flavor. I looked at the coil and it's black, it doesn't taste burnt, it doesn't taste like anything. I've gone through 2 coils already today and I don't want to waste any more. I've tried all kinds of settings, no change. What am I doing wrong?

it's the juice..coils can go black depending on the VG/PG ratio of the juice but if you are not getting any taste it has to be the juice.
Well i've gone back to kanthal since then, Hawk sauce with 3 shots max vg is what I was and an using. It's great with kanthal .5 ohm duals, so I just gave up on ni200 for the time being. I never had problem with dry hits anyway.
What tc settings were you using? I find that my rdna is not enough power for the crown tank. For me it really shines at around 80 watts 520f. Maybe try raising the temperature?
I was at 40w and 480°, but the only other mod I have that does tc is the ipv d2, and I can only get 50j out of that. Maybe I need to just say screw it and get an sx mini m class.
I think a lot of these newer subohm tanks were designed for very high power vaping. up to 120 watts which I thought was ridiculous but once I tried it wow.
Well I like blowing clouds as much as the next guy, but i save that for my house. When I'm out and about, it just pisses people off. I'll just stick to kanthal and sub 40w.
The M class only goes to 50J for nickel as well. (There is a menu hack to get it up to 75J on the Ti test firmware, but technically for ni200 its limited to 50J).
Well i've been enjoying the silo beast with a triton .4ohm coil on my rdna. That's probably what I'm going to stick with.
