Call me a sicko, but I'm really enjoying the vape. I do fruit's, this being green apple/strawberry with a touch of cranberry/cherry. On new builds the sharpness was pretty strong, but after 5 ml (2 refills) the tone got mello with good strong flavors. Just wanted to put out the word, not all gunk is bad.

Current build 28g Ni, think 10 wraps (hard to count them now:laugh:), 0.12 ohms, 3 mm form, kanger subtank mini.

I have 3 dna40 devices. And no glitchy screens. Lol.

And yea randy. The inside of my Vs rdna looks messier than that. Hot glue all over the place , words not tucked nice and neat. I am getting it fixed up tho. No worries. As long as it performs I don't really care Just surprised to see a 200$ device and it not be clean.

Yea my fields gen hana 40 will only take certain toppers due to the fixed SS pin. Instead of floating or spring loaded. Whatever is in my 2nd. I have it getting it updated as well. Lol.

And I agree. Lots of problems from lack of build experience and communication Dealing with nickel n the beginning.

rDNA's do not have hot glue in them. Is this a unit you purchased directly from VS? If it is, I would have sent it back to them to fix.

Every dna 40 I own. Has hot glue on it. Not resin. Not epoxy. Hot glue. And I got it from a b&m that orders directly from Vs. The hana was worse than the VS I admit.

Over all. I enjoy the dna 40. Have 2 running right now. All I was saying. Is the build quality of mods today. Using more sensitive measurements and more accurate technology. Has got to be raised. The standards and build quality has got to be better. Especially for any $200+ devices. That's all.

Like. Sealed buttons. So juice or moisture can not get into. Micro sd charger covers. For the charging port. Solid and secure 510. And the parts for them. , which hana already resolved that issue , but they are still
Sellin the standard or old 510's for discounted prices on their site Which is just going to be a problem for people trying to use Ni200.

That's all. I promise my mods are exactly what I say they are. I promise I paid top tier for my mods. And I promise I will abuse and destroy my
Mods. Until I buy something g bulletproof. Which I own provaris. And rarely ever have an issue out of them. Lol

All cool

Ok, a question for the experts. I am just trying to get into the TP. Will a twisted 28 gauge coil give you a higher ohms reading, (2 strands of ni200 wrapped around each other), or is it just to give you a stronger coil with the same ohms as a non twisted single strand. Thanks for any responses.

Lower ohms. If your single strand 28g coil is .2 ohms, a twisted 28g coil would read approximately .1 ohms.

If you're going to be twisting, I'd use at least 30g, 32g would be even easier. For example my last rebuild in the tobh was duals with twisted 32g ni200 11 wraps(might've been 12 I forget) around a 2.5 mandrel, it came out to .11. Meaning each twisted coil was .22.
I like the flavor better with twisted, and it will definitely help with making the 30 and 32g stronger/easier to wick/re-wick with out ruining your coil.

That's actually interesting tho Kiwi. Allows you to do less wraps and get a nice ohm load. Without having to wrap over the build deck. Very interesting

I prefer twisted as well. The flavor is better by a bit. Just requires more watts to pick up the ramp
Time. It def lasts longer and holds a more consistent reading over time to. From what I have found

Anyone know of an American vendor with titanium wire?

I haven't followed this thread actively so I'm sorry if this has been asked before. Is there any good reason to use annealed ni200 wire or is tempered always better?

Annealed = way more widely available. That's pretty much it tbh. I would much rather use tempered but I've only ever found it at stealth vape and it's pricey as hell

Kiwi,

I think I agree with Tony I thought the shipping was a little pricey. I actually don't remember how much the shipping was but I remember thinking to myself that the wire was about the same price only instead of a 100 ft you get 75 ft but when I added in the shipping the total kind of took a jump.

AH maybe "pricey as hell" isn't the right word haha.

But hey it's 12 bucks delivered for 25m = 82 ft for the tempered

It's $7.67 delivered for 100ft for the annealed.

5 WHOLE BUCKS! That's half a burrito bowl with extra meat! :p

Kiwi, that has to be the unique analogy I have ever read on ECF.
