Using a rdna 40 and I just got a dripper and im trying to wire it so I can vape between 30-40W. How many ohms do I need to be at?

Above .2 Ohm on a RDNA 40.... But for a new vapor I would recommend not building below 1 Ohm until you have a couple builds under your belt
sounds like he was using nickel wire for temp control...are you using nickel or kanthal to build?
He was using kanthal.. seemed like he knew the same info that i did.. and its not even really vaping good atm..
Sounds like Nickel Build, can be 9/8 wraps of 28ga still is gonna be geeting close to .16 to .18, good luck with that the temp control is amazing if you get to use it correctly, enjoy
I'd try around a .7 ohm build at 30-40 watts first. It's easier to accomplish that with a single coil than dual.
It's more about wicking and air flow than about ohms. Too thin wire might not be able to handle the current though, and too thick wire/large coil will take long to heat up. I usually build with 28 or 30ga and aim for around 1 ohm (that's with kanthal). Check steam engine for the optimal heat flux for your chosen wattage and wire gauge. There's no point in going for low sub ohms on a regulated device, unless you're using nickel in which case you'll be unable to reach higher ohms.
Nickel Coils are a low build (0.30 - 0.10 ohms). You will see if it is a nickel build on the display as it will show the temperature your mod is set at. If it doesn't show temperature it is either a non nickel coil or the temperature control is turned off.
