Right now its a smidge over 4.5" long, 1.5"ish wide, and .875"ish deep.....It can probably come down to 4.25" or so long and a little shorter on the depth.

Looks awesome, bapgood! Similar to what I have in mind except for the metal face. Wooden case w/single 18650 or 22650 bat and as slim a profile as possible. Can't wait to see the finished product! Also can't wait to get my 20D in vapemail!!

I keep thinking and changing my mind....I might wrap the panels in leather or maybe engine turned stainless....or something else :D

thats looking good bap!I'm looking forward to hearing how those on board switches work for you, it will definitely save a lot of wiring. I really like the steel plate on wood look

Thanks!

I will probably continue ahead using the on board buttons, but as I hold it I think having the button on the side will be much more comfortable. IMO the up and down buttons can be most anywhere.

Kind of went backwards today....still trying to figure out wood a little better

I'm also starting to wonder about using the on board buttons. Maybe its because I never really had the board truly fixed but the on board buttons seemed to not have much feel or feedback....my buttons are kind of robust so maybe they are to heavy???

Still sorting a few things out....but I did get my female connector made and I'm quite happy with it....here is my connector and buttons

You might be right, the mass of the metal could be negating the feedback from the on board buttons. I was thinking a bout scrapping a TV remote to use the rubber switch covers, but decided to go with component switches so they could be replaced if need be. I also didn't have to rigid mount the board for support for the switches. So far the tiny dome tactile switches have been working great for the pot.

I have had it with production 510 connectors, out of the 5 I bought 4 had faulty gaskets. That's looking good bap!

damn, really nice buttons and 510 connector, baps!!! wow. all ss im assuming.

Thanks!

I wish they were stainless, but they are just aluminum. I just have a cheap mini-lathe that doesn't like stainless, but I think when I get everything figured out I will suffer through some stainless or go to friends with proper lathe.

I havent tested to see if it leaks, but I also didn't assemble it like I was going to. It's made of three part - the shell, plastic insulator, center shaft. I threaded the shell all the way through and then threaded the outside of the plastic spacer, I was going to use jb weld or other epoxy on the threads when I put it together but I didn't. The same with the center pin but it pressed into the plastic pretty tight. So we will see I guess :D
