DNA40 issue.....NEED HELP!

So I wired up my chip and finally was ready to insert the battery. When I do, it goes through some routine and is flashing "check atomizer" and "battery weak" and the stops and seems ok. When I push the fire button nothing happens? I then remove the battery and screw on my kayfun and the same thing happens but I realize that during this start up routine, it is actually firing then stops and the fire button does not work? I replace the fire button and still nothing? The up and down buttons work fine? What do I do? I have checked the wiring at the board and it seems fine?

Any and all help appreciated.

Here is a picture of the wiring.
I have since disconnected the fire button wires (blue) and the same condition exist? Can't think of a chip problem that would cause this. I sent an email to Evolv Helpdesk. Hope I get a quick answer. Anyone familiar with the warranty? Should I assume it's my problem? This is the first issue I have had with an Evolv dna chip so I have not delt with their warranty dept.

From what I have heard Evolv are good at dealing with issues so hopefully you will have no probs there.

The on board firing button could be causing an issue. Snip it off and see if the problem persists.

I assume when you push the fire button, something should display on the screen so if nothing happens then I guess something's wrong with the fire button.

Careful, i believe on that on the 40's(unlike the 30s) if you completely remove the fire button you have to solder a jumper in to maintain part of the circuit.

So I just wired up another DNA40 the exact same way and it worked like a charm. Definitely on the chip. I hope Evolv makes good on it. I'll let you know how it goes after I hear back from them.
