If I could buy the DNA 40 with pre-soldered wire leads I might build a DNA 40 mod, but so far trying to solder wire leads in the closely spaced vias on this tiny board ... for some reason the DNA always ends up being thrown across the room :(

Maybe more Wine first???

More wine for sure:). Maybe try one of the shapeways plates or replacement covers that use the on board buttons. The rest is pretty easy to solder. The buttons are a big pain though for sure.

Mera DNA40 with 26650 batt. 3D printed frame, sleeve, and batt holder.

I did a re-design from the original design I did - moved the 510 to the back and recessed it and changed from a 12mm Mitec switch to a 16mm Mitec switch.

I fought a losing battle with having an ABS sleeve - warped on the outside length. Would be doable if I increased the wall thickness, but didn't want to do that as I'd also have to increase the width of the frame. So... I had options. The copperFill, bronzeFill, and woodFill filaments from ColorFabb worked out perfect! Now waiting for brassFill which should be available soon.

20 plus hours of print time (I set the printer to print slow and at very low layer height for best quality) plus 3 hours or so of after print sanding/polishing is very time consuming, so I uploaded the design to imaterialise (the white Mera). Comes good to go except needs painting - need someone to paint it for me lol.

No, plans are not public. I share a lot of stuff, but not my 3D CAD files lol.

Here's the inside of the frame... the screen and up/down buttons are held in place with a screwed-in harness, the board's side rails are screwed into the posts adjacent to the screen guide. 510 and fire switch are held in place with their nut. And the batt sled sits on the upper ridge and screwed in place.

I guess I used the wrong term...is it available for printing by others? I like the print site you used, I have not ran across them before and they offer better detail (at least by spec) than some of the others. I just uploaded a ring I am trying to get made, but have had poor results form the other two big players.

Been tinkering with getting the DNA40 large screen centered - top, bottom, left, right, for the new mod I'm making. I did eight samples with eight different screen stops and eight different off-center screen guides.

This large screen not only needs a guide stop for centering top and bottom, but also the screen centered left to right since it's not centered on the OLED glass.

I got one perfect one now good to go. :D

Height and width of the large screen display window I set to 25.4mm x 7.5mm.

For my 3D printer the perfect sample had a side guide offset from center 0.86mm, top stop guide 0.92mm.

I'll need to submit the samples to imat to see which offset and stop guide is perfect for their printer. It may be the same or it may be a bit different as the one that is perfect for my printer.
