Hey all, I want to share my past few hours in the hope that might help someone else avoid a bad time in the future. :p

The good stuff: I've been vaping for just over a month after smoking a pack/day for over 20 years, and can now say for certain "the smoking of analogs is a relic of my past." I received my first DIY flavors and atomizers today and happened upon what I believe to be my first sweet spot. Nirvana in a cloud of vapor... OM:censored:G!!! Direct dripping DIY Double choco menthol tobacco juice* at ~6.5 watts FT:censored:W!!!1!one!!1! But, that's just me... heh. It will also more than likely change on a regular basis for many months to come. At least, I hope so; there are soooo many unexplored flavors yet to be tried in the stuff I ordered during this past weekend's sales that it would suck to have already found my end-all-be-all! :|

The not-so-good stuff: I spent the last 2 hours or so laying on the couch with a headache, jitters and upset stomach. I believe it is from vaping too much nic into my system too quickly. I still can't bring myself to take a toot, but I am feeling much better now. The juice I put together* only came out to be 18mg/ml (been vaping this strength since I started), but I was so ecstatic about this new-found cloud of lusciousness, I may have (definitely did!) chain huffed for well over an hour.

The warning: Imagine you are dragging yourself through the desert for days when you suddenly come upon a babbling brook of fresh snow melt. This is what it's like when you find your first serious sweet spot in your vaping. Take it from this newb's experience and pace yourself or pay more for it than you bargained upon. I sure didn't think it would happen, and I've heard I'm a pretty fart smeller.

* My first sweet spot recipe:
21 parts 24mg/ml Vapor4Life Kamel Menthol Nobacco
4 parts VG
1 part Grey Goose vodka
2 parts Flavor Apprentice Double Chocolate

This happened to me yesterday after chain-vaping for who knows how long, I was suddenly very aware that I should be a little more conscientious about my vaping sessions! Other than that and a burned carto, I have no complaints about switching from regular cigarettes.

I'm a noob - only 6 days smoke free, thanks to my Joye eGo and a large supply of hot cinnamon 1.8% Only smoked about two packs a week, but did so for 10 years and had no motivation to quit until a friend at work told me about her husband's success with his ecigarette. He brought it in for a demonstration, and the rest is history!

Do I understand that you added some real vodka to your mix, or was that just a treat on the side? :) My most pleasant surprise about vaping is that it is an extremely satisfying substitute for a cigarette with my glass of wine!

If you need me, I'll be behind this monster cloud of vapor.

I dissolved some menthol crystals in the vodka and then mixed that into the VG in an 4/1 VG/vodka ratio. This helps thin the VG and made dissolving the menthol super easy. I'll probably use some distilled water next. I just happened to feel like trying the vodka first.

BTW, I feel much better today!

HA!

I laugh because I've done that.

My first time was after I made a vape that tasted like pears baked with cinnamon. It was great. The headache, not so much...

MMmmmm... baked cinnapears. Maybe even two fisting baked cinnamon pears in one hand and homemade vanilla ice cream in the other. My :censored: mouth is watering now!
